At our request, we were assigned a room facing the inner courtyard (307) in advance, and it was very quiet there. You can hear the neighbors quite well, of course, but in our case it was quiet from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. On the floor where breakfast is served, there is a “Chpoin” lounge where you can heat up food in a microwave and sit in a room overlooking La Rambla while reading some books and old newspaper clippings about the hotel (photo attached). The hotel has history (it's a hotel-museum) and is well maintained. It fully lives up to its 2-star rating. Breakfast is fairly simple, but includes tortilla, cereals, cold cuts of cheese and ham, inexpensive store-bought pastries, as well as eggs and bacon. As far as I understand, this is considered a good breakfast for Barcelona and especially for a 2-star hotel. There are also a few tables at breakfast with a view of La Rambla.Show More

This quaint little older hotel is quite a gem. It has been well maintained, it's clean and the rooms and bathrooms are adequate for short stays. It has a 24-hr reception desk and the gentlemen there...This quaint little older hotel is quite a gem. It has been well maintained, it's clean and the rooms and bathrooms are adequate for short stays. It has a 24-hr reception desk and the gentlemen there are very helpful, even for crazy people like me who can't find the bathroom in their own room. The only thing I found wrong with the room is there's no thermostat to adjust the temperature but I had extra blankets and I was very comfortable. The bathroom is clean, perfectly sized for one person or two. The shower has great hot water, good pressure and a handheld shower head. They serve a complimentary breakfast which I haven't partaken of yet but the area where it served has a nice lounge that looks over La Rambla, has cozy tables and chairs and microwaves for you to heat things up. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who's coming for a short stay, or someone who's coming the day or two before embarking on a cruise which is the case with me. I also would stay here again if I come back to Barcelona. A gem of a hotel and quite the bang for your buck.Show More

Jako turystom z Polski, było nam niezwykle miło zobaczyć na własne oczy, że w hotelu został upamiętniony pobyt Fryderyka Chopina i George Sand (oraz innych znakomitych Gości). Pobyt w CN będziemy bardzo dobrze wspominać. Otrzymaliśmy pokój od strony La Rambla więc turystyczny klimat i nastrój centrum miasta mogliśmy odbierać i podziwiać również z hotelowego balkonu. Z hotelu CN jest bardzo blisko do atrakcji w centrum miasta oraz niezwykle dogodny dojazd metrem na lotnisko EL Prat; do najbliższej stacji Liceu jest zaledwie 350 m.Show More
