Checking in was smooth, Shimasa was very efficient. Bell girl (sorry I didn’t get her name) was polite and gave us necessary information about the floor and the room. Kargi at the reception answered all our questions and provided additional guidance about city. Check out was swiftly processed by Yamana. Our room on 17 floor was large and pristine. Cleaning done daily. This hotel provides all necessary toiletries and amenities including pajamas, slippers and fluffy bath robes. We tried traditional Japanese open buffet breakfast option, it’s really worth it. Variety of delicious fresh food with impeccable service. Gym, pool and sauna is across the street from Dai Ichi. Hotel guests have a special rate, just show them your room card and you can enjoy the facility. Also big plus is this hotel is literally few steps away from Shimbashi metro station that takes you anywhere in Tokyo. Excellent experience overall, definitely recommend it.Show More

The beds were comfortable and the room adequately sized for a family of three. (I had been warned Japanese hotel rooms are very small. I didn’t find this to be true) The complimentary toiletries are restocked daily and of very high quality. Complimentary water restocked daily too. My only criticism is that there was only one English speaking channel on the tv which was USA CNN. Not ideal but only a very minor inconvenience. The location is two minute walk to Shimbashi Train Station which is actually connected to hotel via an underpass from the lower level. The buffet breakfast was expansive yet not traditional (in the Australian, USA, English way) But plenty of variety and delicious food on offer.Show More

The hotel is old but very well managed. Rooms are large considering it is in the center of Tokyo (I heard it's rare for hotels in city center to have rooms of this size). Staffs are the best and the most polite ones. Hotel is also connect to a pass way that leads to the subway station. However I do recommend walking on the street as the pass way can be very hot and stuffy in the summer. But it must be a great option when it rains or when it's cold outside. The location is the BEST as it's surrounded by convenient stores, shops, restaurants, tax-free drug stores, and right next to one of the biggest railway stations, that leads to everywhere. I highly recommend this hotel!!!!!Show More

Our room was quiet with an outlook to the Tokyo Tower. The location was great – access to Shinbashi Station below the hotel or a short walk away, and close access to the monorail for visiting Odaiba. We checked in each day with the concierge, who was very helpful in suggesting the best route to take for our day trips and providing us with maps etc. Other staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful. I had emailed the hotel prior to our stay to let them know I was coeliac – this led to forms being filled in when we checked in and again at the breakfast buffet. I think the hotel wanted to ensure they were not accountable in the event of my having a reaction to gluten! Foods on the buffet were labelled if they contained wheat and the buffet breakfast had plenty of options I could eat. Options for cleaning our room were either fully serviced each day, or we could display a “don’t clean” sign. We suggest that there should be another option – only change towels if they are left on the floor. We were pleased we’d chosen to stay here and not in busy Shibuya or Shinjuku, and we liked that it was easy to arrange a pickup from the hotel to go to Narita Airport on the limousine bus.Show More
