Arrives now a gal in front of me - calm as can be. Welcome sir she said. Let me see what I can do for you. She tapped away on the computer took not too long. She gave me some suggests for different options. I had a higher levet room than what she was suggesting. She went on to say she’d be happy to include breakfast with the change. Also explained it’s a quieter room. I was happy to take her offer. I then said - you are the most calm person I’ve met on a front desk. This gal was pure zen - she defined professional and level headed. Perfect eye contact - superb brand and hospitality experience. I asked - may I ask your name - replied. - SAM. Nice to meet you!!!!! this amazing angel from desk person named Sam was fabulous. Next thing is to pay - guess what - my cc is declined. I reached my limit paying the last hotel bill - and could not call my bank at 9pm to raise my limit. Sam said - don’t worry Sir. We will figure something out for you. Well we did. She got creative with something that suited the hotels parameters and I was happy and headed to bed. Sam - made this arrival the best and most level headed experience and professional ever!!!!!!! Thank you Sam!!!!!!!!! Ps. Love the DREAM DOWNTOWN!!!!!! And ask for Sam for a picture perfect check in experience!!!!!!!!!!!Show More

They won't despite your best efforts. I was asked to stay at this hotel by a friend celebrating a birthday weekend, so unfortunately didn't research. I booked a room with a balcony for two nights. When we checked in, we were offered an upgrade to a larger interior room which we declined in favor of the balcony. At midnight we started to hear some of the outside activity escalating and could see from the balcony that we were directly above the entrance to two nightclubs. Why didn't they tell us this at check-in?! By 2:30 a.m no less than a dozen car services were honking to pick up their riders. Now the partiers were spilling out of the club waiting for their ride and continuing to their fun directly under the balcony of our room. We called the front desk and asked to be moved. We packed up our belongings and were in the next room by about 4:00 a.m. After a few hours of sleep and still exhausted we asked to cancel the second night stay- NO. We called Amex to appeal on our behalf they did, the answer from Hyatt- NO. We offered to compromise and get a credit for a future night stay- NO. We spoke with three managers, all admitting that we should have been told about the undesirable location of the room. However, when asking to get a credit for a future date: NO, NO, NO.Show More

I was bitten by bed bugs and felt the hotel did not take sufficient accountability beyond an inconclusive canine inspection (eg. While they thankfully did some laundry whilst I was there for me and facilitated a room change, I would have also expected an offer to cover the bill for the same once I returned home, as full sanitation and dry cleaning of delicates will now be costly to ensure I've not brought the pests home. Additionally, the first room I was in was impossibly noisy due to trucks honking and unloading right outside well past midnight and some room elements were also broken/requiring upgrade (including white noise machine and soap dispensers). I moved three times in a four night stay. For the price, I expected a whole lot better. I've stayed here before on two occasions, but will not be returning again.Show More

Around 3 a.m. the same night, a man was yelling in the hallway, further disrupting what little rest we could get. 3. We requested a coffee machine for the room and followed up several times, but received no response. 4. We placed a room service order, and what was delivered did not match what was listed on the menu. When we contacted the front desk, we were told to “come down and talk to the restaurant staff” — at midnight. 5. Overall, the front desk service was unhelpful and dismissive throughout our stay.Show More
