You can hardly notice the hotel from the street with a very low-key hotel front but once you are inside the interior design is calming an...Element Times Square was safe, hygienic and quietly luxurious. You can hardly notice the hotel from the street with a very low-key hotel front but once you are inside the interior design is calming and pleasant. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by a friendly group of concierge and security staff who went out of their way to make me feel at home. There is swipe access to enter and security guards who look very competent, and the street outside is a little less busy but very safe. You can get taxis straight outside and can walk very quickly to Bryant park, and NY public library. Across the road is a very cheap and incredibly delicious pizza takeout with the best marinara sauce. Breakfast at Element was excellent with so many sweet and savoury options all very fresh as well as the excellent touch of plentiful fresh fruit. The catering and breakfast staff were brilliant, such friendly and positive individuals. The rooftop is free to access and is stunning. My room was very clean and well equipped with all the home comforts. There is a safe, and a door with a deadbolt and security bar. Comfortable beds, individual controls of room temperature, complimentary toiletries and much more. The other guests seemed friendly and nice people too with a mixture of a Americans and international guests. There is ample opportunity to meet other guests at their daily free drink hour. We requested a higher room with a great view and were given the opportunity to switch rooms. The breakfast was surprisingly rich and not repetitive (including basic fruits, vegetables, yogurts, and cereals). Afternoon free snacks, as well as wine/beer, were also an interesting bonus. The rooms are typical NY style - we were four in one room, but we were able to squeeze in. The kitchen in the room was a super advantage, but you can always come downstairs, where you can find MW and hot water/coffee throughout the day. The location is good, with a short walk to several metro lines - it's super easy to connect to JFK, and there's also a short walk to Penn Station for Newark. Hudson Yards is not far away, Times Square is just around the corner. Once again, credit to the staff. They were fantastic. And... nice rooftop :-)Show More
