I have stayed at the hotel and enjoyed it, but this last reservation has me concerned about its management. I was scheduled to arrive for a one night stay to get an early flight. However, an emergency occurred and I needed to fly out early the day of the reservation. My travel agent called to cancel, but was refused and rebuffed by the front desk clerk who refused to do anything without a manager. So the next day, I tried calling the front desk myself. Always on hold. Even the sales and accounting offices went straight to voice mail. Total time in hold exceeded 45 minutes (over various connections). Frustrated, I was connected to central reservations (as the hotel’s line wouldn’t send you directly to their reservations). Even the attendant couldn’t get the hotel to answer their phone. She put notes in the file and asked me to try the Hilton app chat feature. I connected to the chat line, and was told that I would be helped shortly. Over 45 minutes later, there was still no one replying to help the situation. I gave up. Obviously this staff doesn’t care about customer service. Even as much as I like staying at this hotel with the convenience of being at the airport, I won’t be staying there again and I can’t recommend them due to the lack of basic customer service.Show More

The roof ...If you’re a plane spotter, this is among the best properties in the country that allow you to see some impressive aircraft take off and land so close that it feels like you could touch them! The roof top observation area is right next to one of LAX’s main runways, so the air traffic is non-stop all day and evening. (I had a runway view room and didn’t hear much plane noise at all, BTW.) If you’re an av geek like me you won’t be alone. Lots of folks up there were clearly hanging out for the plane watching. It’s a big draw. Outside of that, though, this is still a great hotel! It’s super close to LAX. In fact, they offer a shuttle but I walked from Terminal 3 to the hotel in about 10 minutes. There’s a restaurant on property, along with a coffee shop. And it’s about a 15 minute walk to the famous In-N-Out next to Westchester Park, just a few hundred feet across the street from a runway. The hotel and coffee shop staffs were super friendly, and my room was clean and very comfortable. If you’re looking for a hotel around LAX - whether you’re a aviation enthusiast or not - this is a super choice in an area packed with options.Show More

You just wait at the red pick up locations at the airport and a number of buses come along for all the different airport hotels and you just wave yours down. It was really easy, and easier than it sounds. To be fair, the bed was huge and really comfy and the decor is modern and clean throughout, with some amazing Halloween decorations. However, there was a clanging that went on in the bathroom every 30 seconds all night.... well all the time I was trying to get to sleep, and I only had 3 hours before my next flight so I felt like every moment counted and so that noise kept me awake and was very annoying! Perhaps it was the pipes, I'm not honestly sure. As well as this, we arrived after midnight, after our plane was late in and with the time difference it felt even later and we found the customer service to be slow and lacking in charm! I did not use any other amenities so cannot comment on them. I was also not pointed towards the use of any, including the lifts that I had to work out for myself.Show More
