I am absolutely shocked and disappointed by my stay at HGU New York. I’ve stayed in many 4-star hotels before, but I have never experienced anything like this. The cleaning staff took my personal hair...I am absolutely shocked and disappointed by my stay at HGU New York. I’ve stayed in many 4-star hotels before, but I have never experienced anything like this. The cleaning staff took my personal hairdryer and part of my curling wand, and when I reported it, I was told the hotel would “investigate” and get back to me. No one ever did. When I followed up in person, I was told that the cleaning staff decided my items were rubbish and threw them away. These were expensive, personal belongings — not hotel property, not trash — and yet they were just discarded without any care or permission. Even worse, there was no apology, no accountability, and absolutely no effort to make things right. I tried several times to contact the manager, Selina, by email and phone, and she never once responded. That level of disregard is beyond unacceptable. For a hotel that calls itself “4-star,” this was a truly awful experience. The lack of professionalism and basic respect for guests’ belongings is shocking. I left feeling angry, unheard, and completely let down. I would never stay here again, and I strongly advise others to think twice before booking.Show More
