We went for 2 nights in the city just to get away and catch a show. Racheal in the front end truly made our time their truly special. She was extremely hospitable and welcoming. She managed to upgrade...We went for 2 nights in the city just to get away and catch a show. Racheal in the front end truly made our time their truly special. She was extremely hospitable and welcoming. She managed to upgrade our room to a queen bed studio suite with a separate living room on the 19th floor which my girlfriend fell in love with. The rooms are nice and spacious with all the amenities you need. The hotel lobby is a bit small and only had one working elevator. The only negative I would give the rooms would be that it is a sliding door to the bathroom so not that much privacy and if you're on a lower room there isn't much lighting inside or natural from outside. Bathrooms are nice and big with lots of room.The designation fee is $50 a night but they do give you a 25 dollar breakfast voucher every day for the restaurant attached to it. Nice lounge on the second floor to hang out in with coffee/lemon water stations and tea. Great area to get you everywhere you need to be in the city I would definitely come back here again in a heart beat! Thank you to the staff at Hotel 48LEX for making our weekend great.Show More

There’s no where to sit and it’s very shabby. The “resort fee” is $57 and I didn’t see where it paid for anything at all. When I checked in, no one mentioned that it covered anything and there was nothing in the room about it. There was a $9 bottle of water in the room, however. I guess we have gotten used to resort fees and I would have let it go, if it had been $25. But $57 for nothing was shocking. The room itself didn’t have enough lighting, the tv stopped working around 10 pm and the wallpaper was worn and stained. The top of the toilet was cracked and glued back to. There was no robe, the kitchenette was very worn out looking, the grout in the shower needing a heavy cleaning and the shower gel dispenser didn’t work. Needless to say, I would not stay here again.Show More

The hotel was a bit pricey on one of those days but you get what you pay for. The only part I didn’t like was the slow elevators(there are 2) and sometimes one wasn’t working. However the room was surprisingly large, the bed comfortable and it was very quiet even though my room was near the elevator. The wine bar in the evening was lovely. My rate included breakfast but you have to pay tip and taxes. I contrast that with the Lexington across the street that I moved to after because it was cheaper and I had to pay for myself. My room there was tiny and so loud being on a lower floor, perhaps. Mid-town location is great. I love walking around NYC and will only take the subway or Uber when necessary.Show More

The room was basically clean but there was a produce sticker on the wall, one of the coffee pods was cut open and turned over on the tray and there was a used rubber glove on our couch. Wasn’t confident enough in the cleanliness of the room to use the tea kettle or coffee maker. Good location and clean. But weird TV access and consider what you’re paying for a basic hotel that looks nice but has no amenities or services.Show More
