Firstly the good the staff are great super helpful and cheery a credit to the hotel and if ...As a regular traveller I may have higher expectations than some, but here’s my review right from the heart. Firstly the good the staff are great super helpful and cheery a credit to the hotel and if you’re coming into NYC by train you’re a couple of mins from Grand central so not far to carry / wheel luggage. The negatives the bathrooms are dated with shower curtains for the shower and the shower is so small you are constantly being touched by the shower curtain which to me is not pleasant at all. The elevators are super slow and there are too few so you stop at just about every floor with a long wait time for elevators. This is made worse by one of three generally being out of service to be used as a service lift. The rooms are the tiniest like crazy small and the beds are lumpy and not comfortable. The website photos make the rooms look far larger and brighter than they really are. Would I stay here again? Very unlikely. I normally stay at the Martinique when in NYC but wanted to be closer to Central Park for my NYC pick up location hence choosing here. It’s reasonably priced and if the above niggles doesn’t bother you you will be fine but it does bother me.Show More

The proximity to Grand Central is a huge bonus, since a lot of lines go through there. There are plenty of bars and quick bites around the hotel, and you’re permitted to bring in whatever food you want since the hotel doesn’t offer food. The room was great, just spacious enough for the two of us, with a great bathroom and a stunning view. It was cleaned daily including daily towel changes. We had a mini fridge, a nespresso machine and a microwave in our room. We also had free empty bottles and a chilled water machine on our floor. The lobby on the top floor is great, you can have complimentary coffee, tea and water (still and sparkling), all while enjoying a stunning view of the surrounding area from the balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful, although we had minimal interaction with them during our stay. All in all, can’t recommend this hotel enough, can’t wait to stay here again!Show More
