So much history and charm, a beautiful room with a super comfy bed, deep soaking tub, brass fixtures adding character throughout, stained glass windows, a balcony looking out over 23rd street, colorful furniture making the room feel like a hip apartment. We got adjoining rooms and loved the convenience of being within the same locked door hallway as the rest of our group. The hotel itself with its wide hallways, original stairway, all the woodwork in the lobby, had all the old world charm one could ask for. The location is perfect for moving around the city - 2 subway lines are within a block of the entrance - we went downtown twice and uptown twice easily reaching different areas of the city. A friend came in from Brooklyn super easy. We walked to the Hudson and a couple times after being out easily walked back to the hotel. I loved this hotel and definitely plan to stay here again!Show More

This was our first and it most certainly won't be our last. The check-in was fast and courteous, our luggage was stored and we received a text when our room was ready. The rooms are beyond gorgeous! The added touch of a complimentary bottle of wine for a birthday celebration was impressive and appreciated. The housekeeping staff knowing when you arrive back and coming to see if you'd like some coffee or tea - and if it's evening- water and an herbal drink for sleep was so impressive. You are extremely well taken care of here. If you want to stay at the most beautiful Queen Ann hotel with the most attentive and friendly staff, this is the only place you'll ever want to visit.Show More

The old authentic architecture make this an amazing find. I love the rooms with special wood floors to marble and brass bathrooms. Everything is slightly dimly lit and not much thought to places to put things in bathroom and closets. One can figure it out though. The in house restaurants are all good. The newest restaurant Teruko is extremely special.Celebrating my birthday there it may have been among the most expensive meals of my life but also one of my to eating experience ever. The service is distinctly Japanese. I felt like I was in Japan again and everything is amazing. Worth every penny.Show More

We stayed for 5 days in early October and it was perfection. The location is wonderful, walkable to many landmarks in NYC. The hotel itself is quirky, moody and just not anything like your average hotel. The staff was helpful, kind, engaging and on top of their game at every turn. The Chelsea Cafe and Lounge Bar inside the hotel made it convenient to grab a quick bite or to linger over a drink with friends. We did not want to leave. You won't regret booking here for your next trip to the city.Show More
