Hotel Nouvelle is centrally located in Barcelona, very close to La Rambla, the Metro, and the Placa de Catalunya. The hotel is three floors and somewhat small. There’s a patisserie across the street f...Hotel Nouvelle is centrally located in Barcelona, very close to La Rambla, the Metro, and the Placa de Catalunya. The hotel is three floors and somewhat small. There’s a patisserie across the street for coffee and pastries in the morning, good restaurants on the street. The issue is the noise. We were in Room 123 and the window faces an apartment with two dogs that barked incessantly and the owner yelling at the dogs to be quiet all hours of the day and night. The dog owner may have been hard of hearing as the tv volume was loud. Plus there’s a restaurant tucked away between the buildings with drunk people carousing about past midnight. We used Rick Steves guide to Spain for hotel selection. His choices are reasonably priced hotels. The cleaning staff work hard to stay in front of the revolving numbers of guests. The reception staff is “eh”. Especially the night clerk.Show More
