The idea of this hotel was way more impressive than the experience. I'm a mid level traveler so when I pay more, I expect more. The view was fantastic. The food good but not fabulous. The manager beh...The idea of this hotel was way more impressive than the experience. I'm a mid level traveler so when I pay more, I expect more. The view was fantastic. The food good but not fabulous. The manager behind the front desk seemed grouchy unlike the staff at our previous hotel. Main manager in office delegated to lower level employees - didn't seem to care. Our room wasn't fully made up when I went to get into bed (family suite), there were no sheets on it and none in the room. I walked around the bed to look in the closet and tripped over a metal peg sticking out of floor. I hurt both my feet and broke my toenail. I steadied myself on the glass-topped desk where I noticed a huge broken chunk on one exposed edge. They came to put sheets on but didn't address the issues til we checked out. This is a room where children would presumably stay. Wanted to use water taxis to get to other parts of island after watching groups of people at the marina doing so, but we were told there weren't any. ??? No other suggestions as to what we could do. Beach was much smaller than it looks with little room to swim and pools were cold. They charged us for the 'free' shuttle. Be careful who you book thru, Expedia was almost twice rate of Booking.com and wouldn't honor price matching. Tried to get help confirming this with hotel but they seemed upset that we asked and very unhelpful throughout our stay.Show More
