I live in Brooklyn and splurged on the penthouse suite with a private terrace for one night to avoid an early commute to Manhattan for a meeting the next morning, and WOWZA! I already live here and yet, my night was surprisingly spectacular. My room was gorgeous and modern while also cozy and in synch with the classic maritime vibe of NYC, giving yacht-y vibes. All by myself on my private terrace, I sang the theme song from Green Acres: "I just adore a penthouse view...darling I love you but give me Park Avenue!" Well, more like 9th Avenue but still... My lobster pad Thai from nearby Tao was delivered in minutes and was chef's kiss. I reluctantly turned in my key in the morning but will absolutely return for another staycation!Show More

A localização, sob o nosso prisma, é fantástica - do lado do chelsea market, da high line e do Pier 57. Para quem gosta de caminhar por Nova York, que é o nosso caso, é maravilhoso se perder pelo Soho, Little Italy e China Town, etc. O café da manhã, apesar de simples, é maravilhoso, pois o ambiente é fantástico e ficávamos pelo menos 1 horas curtindo a energia do local.Show More

The Maritime is in a great location with lots of great food choices nearby. There is plenty to see and do in this neighborhood. The A C E subway line is just at the end of the block so it's very easy ...The Maritime is in a great location with lots of great food choices nearby. There is plenty to see and do in this neighborhood. The A C E subway line is just at the end of the block so it's very easy to get to any of the airports and train stations or anywhere in the city. But what I like most about this hotel is that every room has a great view of the city and all face west, so often you will see the sunset behind the high rises and across the Hudson. The lobby has a vibe of a 1940's ocean liner and you wouldn't be surprised to see Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack lounging in front of the fireplace!Show More

Stairs leading up to the lobby is something to be aware of you have lots of luggage. Rooms are small, but most NYC hotels are small. Hotel is showing its age. Overall, my stay was positive. I would recommend if this is the location of interest and the price is good. There are other hotels in the same area that are just as good so you have several options.Show More
