If a luxury vacation means staying in the middle of a boatyard/marina, this is the spot for you. We weren’t on the edge of the ocean or the edge of the Marina. We were in the middle of a boatyard. During our outdoor breakfast, a lift lowered a powerboat into the water next to our table. Unpleasant! The reviews and advertisements on YouTube, etc., are very deceptive. The place is subpar, and the surrounding neighborhood is also depressing. You are nowhere near Key West or the Key West vibe. We were told the shuttle was a 10-minute ride into downtown Key West, but it was more like 30 minutes.
Ocean’s Edge is a cheap motel trying to disguise itself as luxury with prices that match. We left after 2 nights. Why? It took three calls to get clean towels, and after waiting four hours for a plumber to unclog our only toilet (4 people), we checked out. We used the lobby bathroom before leaving, as our toilet was never fixed. There were four people behind the desk doing nothing. Save your money. We ended up at The Isla Bella Resort in Marathon. It was the best move my family and I ever made, and we salvaged our vacation. I cant say enough good things about Isla Bella. Please stay away from Ocean’s Edge unless you are arriving in a boat and want to use their facilities. Having grown up on boats it looked like a top notch marina but not a luxury hotel for a family vacation.

9/10 Beautiful resort with thoughtful, valuable activities and friendly, helpful staff.
Andrew, Colette and team from the Ocean’s Activity group were so good. The mangrove kayak tour was wonderful and worth paying a little extra to experience. The activity director for this department must be great as they’ve assembled a great team! Housekeeping was wonderful even though I limited cleaning for sustainability, they checked in daily to see if I needed anything. Sophie and front desk staff were also always pleasant. The property had a ton of varying activities daily for all group types. The bartenders were also friendly and efficient even when busy.

1/10 Beautiful place, terrible service and charges for everything
Since check-in, the staff clearly had no patience to explain the procedures. We were charged $700 upfront (for “incidental expenses”). None of our questions were answered clearly or politely.
We were also charged $112, but we don’t know why because they didn’t send an invoice. We assume it was for parking, which costs $27 per day, even though we only stayed two nights. And absolutely no staff helped us with our luggage (they charge $27, but there’s no one to assist?).
We requested a crib, but there wasn’t one in the room. However, since we were treated so poorly at reception, we felt intimidated to insist on it.
At the end of our stay, I asked when the $700 “incidental” charge would be refunded, given that no incidents occurred. Once again, the response was vague and unhelpful.
Beautiful place, terrible service, and they charge for everything.

4/10 Noise, no service, poor management.
We were disappointed.
1) We booked two suits for 4 persons each. Sofa bed was not made upon arrival and housekeeping just showed us where additional beddings were and how to pull out the sofa. Very poor performance.
In addition front desk even didn’t say hello.
2) Little to no service in the patio area during evening hours. We went to the bar ourselves to get drinks
3) Noise: Literally no noise insulation. Hard to sleep when neighboring rooms opens their sliding doors throughout the night. Disturbing noise when other rooms flushed their toilet.
Overall poor management and performance. Very disappointing.

8/10 Beautiful stay
We loved the location at the marina, also that it was quieter than being on the busy parts of Key West. It was so quick to get to all the locations and activities we wanted to see. The restaurant served fresh, delicious seafood. (Some reviews complain about the prices. The reality is that food is expensive in this whole area.)
We loved having a balcony on which to relax and feel the breeze! Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.
We hope to return!

9/10 Made for an excellent vacation!
We had a great time! We enjoyed the bus ride to and from the city where everything was within walking distance. Bob and Jeff were great drivers! Very friendly and informative! The free kayaks and paddle boards were a great plus! Andrew was a great helper at the tiki hut and did a great kayak tour which was also free. Seryat was a great housekeeper and we had daily room cleaning! It was a beautiful place with lots to do and several pools so you never felt over crowded. The food was pricey and some things were getting a little dated but I would defiantly stay again!!

10/10 A beautiful slice of luxury that escapes the craziness of the crowds on Key West. Stay here and you’ll not be disappoint
The hotel was clean and well looked after, the rooms were massive and the add on suite made the place feel
luxurious! The rattan sun loungers added to the luxury experience.
The free shuttle into Key
West was definitely an additional perk that was well used by the guests.

10/10 Mother/Daughter trio
We loved everything about Oceans Edge . I know some folks comment on the price of the food but Key West is expensive as a whole so know that going into your trip. We found the Yellow Fin Restaurant to be consistently delicious and the servers work incredibly hard - and are so gracious and polite . The shuttle is perfect for venturing to downtown KW- the amenities included in the stay are wonderful. Definitly recommend the Mangrove kayaking through the resort - Andrew was a phenomenal guide ! 10/10 would stay there again

10/10 Great stay in beautiful hotel, would recommend.
Had a wonderful stay. Pool and marina view from balcony which was super. Comfortable room with dressing gowns and spacious bathroom. Pool and facilities were great. Breakfast was very good with friendly staff. Shuttle bus in to town was ideal every hour as it’s quite far out. Parking charge a bit steep as not experienced this before but knew before we went. Loved the friendly cockerels and lizards that we saw around the hotel and in Key West too.

We loved the view from our balcony and the non motorized sports staff (Andrew & his curly haired female sidekick). The included kayak, poolside movie, live music, and bike options were awesome. The shuttle downtown was very convenient (didn’t fit everyone waiting and if you didn’t get on it was another hour wait) and the facility had onsite parking.

We went back and forth on where to stay in KW and, in particular, whether we'd regret being out on Stock Island. We loved Ocean's Edge. Driving into/out of Key West can be a pain (their rush hour is no joke), but this property is lovely, the room was perfect for our family of five, and the seclusion and quiet was really refreshing at the end of a busy day. If you're on the fence, there are pros and cons for sure, but this place is great.

10/10 A fun family spring break vacation that felt like we were on a tropical resort!
This was our first visit to Key West! I really loved staying at this hotel. It has a beautiful view, great atmosphere, excellent amenities and fun friendly shuttle drivers. My family will stay here again the next time we visit! Beds and pillows super comfy. Very clean and fun schedule of activities

9/10 Our vacation was perfect!
We loved our stay at Oceans Edge! The grounds were immaculate and beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed the marina and watching the boats come in after fishing - Lots of Tarpon and Nurse sharks to watch, it was very entertaining! We went to the cafe every morning for a Cafe de Leche, so delicious! We LOVED our room and the pool! Everything about our stay was perfect!

Stylish venue great location easy access to Key West main dining district but not in the heart of it. The free resort experiences - yoga, kayaking and the regular shuttle bus made it really good value and were great perks

10/10 An Oasis in the Desert of a Busy World
The staff: Brian, Hayden, Andrew, Collette, John, Jen, Evens -all awesome! Free shuttle to downtown. Free two hour bike, paddle board and kayak rentals. Great views and pools. Comfortable beds in spacious rooms. Very peaceful place.

I loved that it was so clean, the property was obviously kept up with outside and inside, also the staff was super friendly.
There was always an activity to go or just relax in 6 pools!

10/10 Fun Keys Girls Trip!
Great amenities and shuttle into downtown Key West. Originally booked a partial ocean view and had to upgrade when we arrived since all of these types of rooms were ground level with little privacy from pool guests. Staff was friendly and helpful to accommodate our requests.

All I could hear was roosters and there was a wedding going on which was a pain. I did not order the water sports but was charged for them and you could not use them anyway because it was to windy. My balance should have been $450 but they are charging me $650 why?

10/10 A very elegant resort a short shuttle to the action of town.
The amenities were great. The property was well maintained. It was a great alternative to the late noise of old town. The shuttle was very convenient. Show up a little early and call to reserve a spot.

We were assigned to a lovely clean room. The building and furnishings well maintained. The view was lovely. There was trash beside the lagoon which was unfortunate and distracted from a gorgeous view.

6 beautiful pools and lots of space to relax. Bedroom was spacious and plenty of room for 3 travellers. We enjoyed being able to hire bikes for free and the shuttle was very useful! We had a great time.

We loved this place. The ambiance of the marina sets an awesome tone. Plenty of activities. The shuttle bus was great. Staff was nice and helpful. Do not pass on Oceans Edge.
