Great location BUT very poor design. The Palihotel room I stayed in was so poorly laid out that I cannot find a comparision in mind memory...the room was end room on the 2nd floor, 2 queen beds. The Palihotel room I stayed in was so poorly laid out that I cannot find a comparision in mind memory...the room was end room on the 2nd floor, 2 queen beds. The bathroom was divided so that the sink/mirror was in its own area and the toilet and shower were in another. The problem for the guest is that you have to walk across the room to wash your hands after using the toilet. Really? Not only that, there was no waste basket or even towel bars in the lav portion of this ridiculous layout. So....I ended up with towels on the floor or the counter, I found myself having to walk from the bedroom area of the room to the front door. It was stupidly designed as the two "wet areas" back up to each other and could have been combined. OKAY...that's for starters. I traveled with a seasoned group of people, mostly between 60 years and 80 year old. The hotel has ZERO accomodation in terms of elevators, or ramps. I was told that the property was "historic" (I never checked") and didn't need to comply with ADA. I say "who cares". The hotel could easily help older travelers, but did not. We arrived by Ube and the hotel maintains a "bell desk" at the street. The man at the desk was on his cellphone and never offer to help with luggage or even offer a greeting. There is an overhead light in the room.....must have had 25w light bulb. It was useless. There was no place to hang a full sized garment as the closet was half height.Show More

a 10 star hotel in disguise, don’t look any further for a stay in westwood; this was our first time visiting the area and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. the rooms are on the smaller...a 10 star hotel in disguise, don’t look any further for a stay in westwood; this was our first time visiting the area and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. the rooms are on the smaller side but cozy & comfortable, it’s a minute’s walk from the main street on a quieter side road, breakfast is provided in the lobby every morning, coffee and water are available 24/7, and although they have a valet service they recommend street parking when it's easy to find. huge shoutout to andrew and roan for their kindness and helpfulness, we had a few move-in hiccups during our stay that were completely unrelated to the hotel, but they made sure everything went right for us even after we’d already checked out. thank you! i very rarely write reviews but i had to leave one for this fantastic team, i strongly recommend staying here if you’re looking for accommodations in the westwood area.Show More

The hotel is really quaint, and is a great stay, if only for the staff. The beds were comfortable, there is a large flat screen TV in the room, and the garden is peaceful. I found out that they charge pets at 100 per pet per visit, so if your dog is a service animal, make sure you have papers stating that. Also, the first room we were in was a double queen overlooking the garden. The children above us seemed to think it was a playground that stayed open past dark. The second room we were in was a 180 sq foot king, but there wasn't much room to move, so maybe that was why it was quieter. The third room.... It seemed like a sumo wrestler was above us, stomping everywhere. The showers were nice, though. Waterfall walk-ins.Show More
