I had one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had during my business trip at the Paramount Hotel Times Square. The room I was given was nowhere near a 4 star standard, in fact it wouldn’t even pa...I had one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had during my business trip at the Paramount Hotel Times Square. The room I was given was nowhere near a 4 star standard, in fact it wouldn’t even pass for a 2 star. The furniture was broken and unstable, there were marks, rust, and dust around the window, and I even found hair in my sheets. The room itself was extremely small and lacked basic amenities. Despite the poor quality, I was charged an additional “facility fee” on arrival, even though I didn’t want or use any of the facilities, which were also in terrible condition. There was barely any lighting in the room, and there was no proper air conditioning, just a loud, rusty fan like unit that made it impossible to relax. What made the situation worse was the staff’s attitude. Every time I went to reception to report an issue, the team was rude, dismissive, and condescending. Instead of offering help or acknowledging the problems, they acted as if it was my fault. The photos online were completely misleading compared to the reality of the room I was given. The stay was so unacceptable that I had to book a last minute hotel just to get out of the situation. For the price and the location, I expected a basic level of comfort and professionalism, but this stay delivered neither. I do not recommend this hotel and will not be returning for any future business or personal trips.Show More

The room is cosy for two, not a massive amount of storage but i would expect if you are visiting New York you wont be staying in your room for long, everything was great, we literally went from front door, to lift, to room and back out didnt use the hotel at all so i cant comment on other facilities. Four lifts very swift from floors 1-19, only mild delays at peak times, we stayed on Floor 12 with a view out the back which was great. There was a quite noisy air conditioner at the window but it helped keep the temperature down (considering a november stay it was warm inside!), the noise didnt stop me sleeping and i was right next to it. If you arrive early before check in (4pm) you can leave your bags to explore for $2 each bag, $3 each bag on check out. We will definitely be back here having stayed previoulsy in 137th street harlem previously our experience this time being central was far better all round. Show More

We had a cockroach in our room. I caught it and covered it for the hotel to collect. I had to approach management twice to be told if they move us to another room they could not guarantee it would be...We had a cockroach in our room. We would have to pack the room up, come back at 1600, no care, apology nor empathy. I was given a slip to email senior management. Whereby a temp resolve was met. However during the email conversation the hotel stated we couldn’t use the room to shower until 2000, as they had someone going into the room!!! This no fumigation prior to the next guest. After returning home , I contacted Expedia, who required complete involvement and time from me, reliving the experience. Expedia didn’t feel any form of reimbursement from them was necessary and simply offered a voucher to travel with them again. What concerned no neither the hotel or Expedia seemed shocked and no explanation of what was going to happen to ensure the hotel was roach free. Such a let down for a 5 night trip for my daughter’s 16th birthday. She certainly won’t forget her 16th birthday now!Show More

I booked a "double room" and I could have sworn it even had 2 beds in the picture but a "double room" means one standard bed and not two. This created so many issues and I wasn't blaming them but they also weren't trying to help figure out a solution with us. That was disappointing. Elevators were as bad as everyone says. Noise wasn't awful for us (we turned on the fan and that drowned out most the night time noise). Expect very small and bare minimum from rooms. If you can find a good deal, it's worth it but if it's the same price as other places, probably not a top choice. I enjoyed the location and we had drinks at the bar a few times. Internet didn't work in the rooms, you had to go down to the lobby. The only way I would stay here again is if it were half the price of all the other places I was looking at. I'm a cheap person but I realized that some things are worth the extra price. Especially employees that want to help make your stay better. Show More
