From the moment we arrived, we were treated with exceptional warmth and professionalism. A special shout-out to Joaquín at the front desk, who greeted us with a huge smile and made us feel immediately welcome. The hospitality didn't stop there. When we got to our room, we found a lovely surprise waiting for my boyfriend, as we were there to celebrate his birthday. It was such a thoughtful and considerate touch that truly set the tone for our entire stay. Location: The hotel's location on Park Avenue is unbeatable. It's in a safe area, just steps from the subway, and within walking distance of many major attractions. You really can't ask for a better base to explore NYC. Amenities: The hotel offers fantastic little perks that make a big difference. They provide complimentary snacks every morning, along with all-day apples and Starbucks coffee. It's a great way to start the day or grab a quick pick-me-up. Staff & Service: Beyond Joaquín, the entire staff was outstanding. Raynier was also incredibly helpful, and we have to mention the housekeeping and maintenance teams—every single person we encountered was friendly, had a positive attitude, and was eager to assist. Throughout our stay, they consistently checked to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. One of their recommendations, the Roof at 66 Park, offered stunning views of the Empire State Building and was a highlight of our trip. Final Verdict: You will not regret booking this hotel for your next vacation in New York. The combination of its perfect location, thoughtful amenities, and, most importantly, its genuinely wonderful staff, makes it a standout choice. We arrived well before check-in time, and the staff went above and beyond to get us in our room as quickly as possible. They also accommodated our request for an accessible room with walk-in shower. Hotel staff CAMILA, DANIELA, JOAQUIN, and BARRY all provided excellent customer service throughout our stay. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. No closet, just a few hooks in the wall with hangers. There were a few glitches with the air conditioning in our room, and also with a shower gel dispenser that wouldn’t “dispense”, but we decided these were minor inconveniences not worth reporting, so we didn’t; until we checked out. Although we didn’t request it, we received an apology email from Camila which also included the refund of our facility fee. The breakfast room area is comfortable but small. We followed Trip Advisor Tips from a few previous reviewers and arrived early for the “first come, first served” continental breakfast. Some guests who arrived while we were finishing up missed out; definitely feel that a greater quantity of breakfast treats should be provided each morning. As this was our only real constructive criticism we would definitely stay at the Pestana during our next visit to New York.Show More

While the latter is widely considered among the very best, my personal experience at the Pestana was genuinely on another level. I was planning an engagement proposal during my stay, and the team at the Pestana went above and beyond in every possible way. They helped me with absolutely everything, from receiving roses and arranging vases to handling my Amazon packages, lending me materials, and even keeping everything hidden from my girlfriend to preserve the surprise. Their warmth, enthusiasm, and willingness to help made the entire process feel effortless. What stood out most was how genuine their support felt. Every member of the staff seemed invested in making this moment unforgettable. By comparison, similar requests at the other hotel either weren’t possible or came with very high fees, which made the experience feel less personal. The difference in care was truly remarkable. A huge thank you to the entire Pestana team for making such an important moment in my life so special. A very special thanks goes to Judite, whose kindness and dedication made all the difference. I couldn’t recommend the Pestana Hotel more highly, and I will absolutely be returning in the future.Show More

The location is fantastic — almost in the heart of Manhattan, you can get anywhere quickly from here, whether on foot or by subway, yet it’s wonderfully peaceful, unlike the constant noise of Times Square. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing or a busy day in the city. I especially recommend those with a balcony — not only do they offer a stunning view of the city skyline, including the Empire State Building, but they also give you an extra chance to soak in the city’s atmosphere — its rhythm, sounds, vibe, and even its scent. But above all, the staff is amazing — always helpful, smiling, and greeting you every time you pass through the reception. In terms of value for money, it’s excellent. That’s exactly why I broke my iron rule of staying at a different hotel every time and returned to Pestana Park Avenue for a second stay. And I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I visit New York — because I’ve truly found my home away from home.Show More
