We don’t like the sliding bathroom door. We didn’t like the low bed. (we spoke with staff about the above two issues and they could only offer us a room that had a higher bed, not bathroom door change...We don’t like the sliding bathroom door. Every time we’ve stayed, I’ve had to ask for one extra bath towel because I use two and my husband uses one. We hang them up expecting to reuse, but housekeeping takes them all away and replaces with only two bath towels. It was a bit noisy — outside noise at 3:30am (but we know it’s NYC on a Friday night) and the person above us sounded like they were pacing in high heels and pulling out a chair at 11:30PM. We had a very low pile rug and I don’t think it would’ve made that noise to our downstairs neighbors so maybe it’s whatever flooring is on 7th floor room There was absolutely no decor on our walls or in our room - 612. Otherwise, the staff is great, the room was clean, and it’s in a good location. We also like the water offered in the lobby.Show More

I’ve stayed here a few times over the years, it’s a great location for Tribeca and where I need be downtown when I’m in New York. The rooms are honestly a good size for New York and the bathrooms are great. The beds are always big, comfy and the AC actually works. There’s been a few changes here recently, new management seems to have taken over so maybe they’ll update some things but I hope they don’t change too much. The employees are usually friendly and helpful. My only issue here is the prices in the restaurant and bar. Over the top and unnecessary. Other than that I love The SmythShow More
