The one thing that I was looking forward to was the wine hour at the bar ,which I remembered from my last stay 7 years ago ... and it was on .. It's on everyday , a glass of wine and cheese Complimentary for the hotel guests ... its always been such a fun experience and relaxing.. Hosted by the wonderful Dee ,who I met again after years and her bubbly energy was still intact Complimented by Eric ... who is so charming and helpful ... these 2 drive the energy at the hotel ! I would go back to The hotel again specially for them.... best suggestions to great help .... always so warm.. Rooms are great ! Clean ,contemporary, spacious .. super comfortable beds and linens My suite had a separate place to keep luggage.. which solved my big bag issue. Gym , bar ,restaurant and most importantly the location ,times square... u can start ur big bus tours ,come back rest and then again venture out again ,it's so convenient bcoz of the location ... A couple of subway stations in the vicinity make it easy to travel ...taxis are available all the time . Nestled in a quieter lane but totally in the happening times square .. Surrounded by restaurants and bars , CVS target, the food emporium ( for ur daily needs ) ,whole foods .. this place is a great bet to stay The restaurant at the hotel Serafina serves good food , and has a special discount for the hotel guests ,I would def recommend it . I had many amazon parcels coming in and the hotel was very accommodating to store it even before my arrival .. I still can't forget the smiling Door Man , who was on duty for more than 24 hrs straight and wasn't tired at all ... smiling and courteous... always... The hotel also has an affiliated taxi service .. and they sent me a limo to go to the airport ... what more do I want . The manager was very helpful 👌 The duty manager Adrian ( I hope I'm not wrong with the name , I remember his hair braids ) Was again v v helpful and always smiling... It just makes one so comfortable when the staff is so pleasing... I would recommend the hotel for its facilities, rooms , location and above all the staff !! While the location is attractive, that's really the only favorable aspect of this otherwise sad hotel. We checked in Saturday for a two night stay. Our room (505) was stifling (it was 52ºF outside, ...While the location is attractive, that's really the only favorable aspect of this otherwise sad hotel. We checked in Saturday for a two night stay. Our room (505) was stifling (it was 52ºF outside, 79ºF in our room) and the AC was set to 66ºF, doing nothing. We ultimately learned from the kind, but truthful engineer that "NYC runs on steam heat and there is no way to turn off the steam pipes that push heat into the rooms when the temperature outside drops below 55ºF." He asked us, "do you want the bad news or the worse news?" The worse news was that the AC unit did not function on low or auto and only worked on high. So he temporarily shut off the heat valve to our room and the temperature ultimately dropped to 66ºF -- there was nothing in between. For our trouble, the hotel refunded the $90 in additional Hyatt fees on our almost $1,000 hotel bill. The headboards were cracked and disintegrating vinyl or pleather, the corners of the furniture were chipped, knicked and scratched. The carpet was filthy. The TV (inset in the large circular mirror over the desk), remains invisible if any light in the room is on at all. So if you don't want to darken your room entirely, you cannot see the TV. Shabby is the best description of everything. The two elevators run slllllowwwwly up and down the 16 floors and because there is no staff/service elevator, we often encountered housekeeping or maintenance staff with enormous carts, trying to navigate up and down, as well. It will take you at least 15 minutes just to complete your journey down from your room. (Floors 10 and below, just take the steps...) Finally, I know cannabis is legal in NY, but this hotel's claim that they are smoke free and vape free is a JOKE. The hallways reeked of weed and guests were openly vaping/dabbing in common areas. There are so many better options for hotels in this price range. And there's a much better Hyatt Regency right next door to The Time. Save yourself!Show More

The location is unbeatable—right in the Theater District, so if you’re planning to catch a Broadway show, you can walk to most theaters in just a few minutes. Times Square is also very close, but the hotel itself is tucked just far enough away to avoid too much street noise. The rooms are modern and stylish, with a boutique vibe. My bed was comfortable, and the blackout curtains helped me sleep well. The bathroom is on the smaller side but sleek, with nice toiletries. One tip: ask for a higher floor if you’re sensitive to street noise, as Midtown can stay lively late into the night. The staff were friendly and helpful—they gave me great recommendations for nearby cafés and arranged a late checkout without hassle. Housekeeping was prompt, though the hallways could use a bit more lighting. For food & drinks, the hotel’s restaurant and bar are trendy and lively. The breakfast menu is a little limited, but the quality was good. If you want more options, there are plenty of diners and coffee shops within a short walk. Overall, I’d recommend The Time New York if you want to be in the middle of the action, especially for theater lovers. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, several other aspects made the stay less enjoyable. The front doorman wasn’t very welcoming, and there’s no nearby coffee shop/nor do they offer coffee, which was a bit inconvenient. The room itself is quite small, and while that’s not uncommon, the design and storage could be much better to make the space more functional. There is no closet, no safe. The lighting was also very dim, making it difficult to get ready. The TV was oddly in the center of a mirror so you are looking through a glass to see the TV but even with the lights completely off, it was difficult to see. Thankfully we weren't there to just watch TV. LOL Noise was another challenge — it was pretty loud every night, and we were woken up around 3:30 a.m. by garbage trucks, which made it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, not the best experience, but with some improvements in room design, lighting, and better windows, it could be a much more enjoyable place to stay.Show More
