You're also not far from the mall,...Stayed at the Union hotel for one night and wish we would have stayed here for most of our trip. It is conveniently located across the street from the train station. You're also not far from the mall, Toronto sign, or CN tower area so you can walk most places which is great! The service was excellent and staff were friendly. Wifi was strong and the lobby was a great place to work while we waited for our room. They even have a bar in the lobby which is a great touch. The bartenders were very knowledgeable about local events and the drinks. The room was nice and quiet with excellent finishes. There is a filtered water fountain on each floor and the gym was very nice. I love the wooden accents. Somehow they kept the essence of the train station without making it gimmicky or outdated. The hotel felt modern and relaxing. My only critique is that they dial down the fragrance in the lobby as it was a little strong. Other than that, I highly recommend you stay at the Union whether your in town for business, fun, or just a quick one-night stop through Toronto.Show More

My room was a double twin, so left very little room for anything other than the beds. But I checked-in early and that's what they had at that time. The bathroom was large and well-designed, alth...My room was a double twin, so left very little room for anything other than the beds. But I checked-in early and that's what they had at that time. The bathroom was large and well-designed, although the sink is oddly tiny. Except for those inconveniences, the hotel is darn-near perfect. My room had a small walk-in closet, which allowed for luggage to be placed aside and easily unpacked. Service is impeccable but not unfriendly, and the style of the place is an interesting mix of 60s and 70s, lots of bronzes, gold-tones and mustards. You're almost not sure if the furnishings and fixtures are actually old, or meant to look that way. But everything works perfectly and is spotless. The lobby cafe is solid, except for being largely windowless. The front signage is an enigma, just a cloth sign hanging there, but there is construction next door, so maybe that's what's up. But all in all, highly recommended, especially if you don't like faceless corporate mega-hotels. Show More

That's an amazing uptick in service right there. We were impressed with the lobby's modern touches and front desk staff were lovely. I never expect large hotel rooms in downtown Toronto so the size was perfect. My friend loved the pillows and was amazed that the room kettle was a very pricey type. Bed was comfy and bathroom a good size as well. No complaints on shower pressure & temperature either. I wasn't fond of the "musky" smelling bath products, so would love to see a more neutral scent next time. Definitely a hotel on the "hope to stay again" list. Show More

The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. I loved how quiet and relaxing it was, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect — close to everything, yet peaceful. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety to choose from. The little touches, like the warm hospitality and attention to detail, really made the experience memorable. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, stress-free stay!Show More
