As a Hilton Diamond member, I hold high expectations when booking a Hilton property, especially one marketed as a luxury hotel. Unfortunately, the Westhouse Hotel in NYC did not meet those expectation...As a Hilton Diamond member, I hold high expectations when booking a Hilton property, especially one marketed as a luxury hotel. Unfortunately, the Westhouse Hotel in NYC did not meet those expectations. The exterior of the hotel was underwhelming and didn’t reflect the premium experience I anticipated. While the room itself was nicely appointed, the air conditioning was not functioning. I reported the issue to the front desk at 7 PM and was assured that maintenance would be sent promptly. However, no one arrived by 11 PM, and the room remained uncomfortably warm throughout the night. According to signage, the AC should still have been operational in October, but that was not my experience. The following morning, I attempted to speak with someone at the front desk, but no staff were present for over 30 minutes. This lack of responsiveness was disappointing and did not align with the level of service I expect from Hilton. On a positive note, the Terrace Room offered a pleasant experience with attentive and courteous staff during the appetizer and drink service. Regrettably, based on this experience, I would not choose to stay here again and would advise others to consider alternative accommodations.Show More

Breakfast area was dirty with tables u...Location is great. Lobby staff were pleasant. Front desk not always manned. Mandatory charge of $55 per day for breakfast / happy hour is a complete rip off. Breakfast area was dirty with tables unwiped and crumbs everywhere. Breakfast buffet food area very crammed and not easy to move around. Again, not well maintained and needing to be regularly tidied and food replenished. I opted not to have breakfast at all after visiting once. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious but in urgent need of modernising as both old and tired. The bar area in the lobby is a ghost bar, it’s a waiting area with no facilities to order food / drink. I chose this hotel largely on the positive reviews of previous guests but it’s clear that their expectations and mine hugely differ. I am a Hilton member and have been staying at Hilton hotels across the world for decades. I would never choose The WestHouse Hotel again nor would I recommend it. The mandatory charge of $55 per day for 4 days added $220 to my bill and I received nothing at all in return. There are better hotels in NYC.Show More

Old rooms, dirty carpets, a $55 resort fee per person per day (which is a rip-off), disgusting breakfast and lunch (even though it's free), the worst of the worst. No bar, uneven beds, dirty, old bathrooms, and the air conditioning is very noisy. One day they didn't clean our room until late at night, even though we left a sign asking them to. They don't provide sandals or hair bags. Check-in is until 4 PM, and it's embarrassing when you go up to the rooms. The hallways smell bad. There's nothing good to say about the hotel. It's a scam because of what they charge and offer, and their resort fee is the number one scam in New York. If you want to go to New York and have a terrible experience, stay at the Westhouse Hotel. As a final note, the day we arrived there were two rooms, and we had to ask to change rooms because the first one was in terrible condition and dirty.Show More

The WestHouse has nice comfortable rooms that are c...Very nice boutique kind of hotel in a convenient location. Not too far from Times Square, Columbus circle, Central Park and the theater district. The WestHouse has nice comfortable rooms that are cleaned everyday. There’s a great bar in the lobby with a jazzy feel to it. The hotel has a fitness room but did not make use of it. In spite of the location, the rooms are surprisingly quiet. Even with the windows open we experienced almost no traffic noise. One of the best perks of the WestHouse was the terrace. It’s a lounge area where besides serving breakfast, also serves drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Both are exceptional. We were very happy to be hosted by Sonia. She rotates hosting evenings and breakfast. She is a wonderful person, very helpful and had the best attitude. Hope to see her again on our next stay.Show More
