Also, the room service food was absolutely ridiculously priced. My wife and I ordered a pot of coffee (learned that you don't have a pot of coffee and was instead delivered $32 worth of coffee in cups), a bagel with cream cheese, a side of bacon and the American breakfast and this cost me $120. And guess what's really fun? I get that hotel room service is expensive but they tacked on a $9 delivery fee and an 18% surcharge. Really? $9 for someone to hop on an elevator and bring a bag upstairs? And guess what's extra fun... there was no receipt the first day so I didn't know about the fees until we ordered again the next day. That's when I discovered they had tacked on about $40 worth of additional charges. We normally stay at the Continental across the street. The breakfast is better, there's no delivery fee, they don't add the surcharge and they let me tip the guy that brings my food in an a cart with a real tray, not a paper bag. In the overall view of life, this is small, I realize that. But, in the world of hotel customer service, these two fees made me incredibly angry. Also, I didn't have a menu in my room so I looked the menu up online. Guess what? The online menu doesn't show these charges. The room was average. It was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was good. The mini fridge and phone were both broken. It felt very janky overall.Show More
