The hotel itself is good location if want to be near enough to Times Square but not in the middle of it. Easy walking distance to everything.
Our biggest issue was when arrived at the hotel, check in wasn’t ready and we had to wait and additional 2.5 hours after the check in time just hanging around reception being initially told half an hour! This then wasted pretty much the rest of our first day as it was then nighttime and we had been up for hours travelling. We then finally get told the room we had booked and paid for was not available and that they didn’t have any other availability in the same style and put us in a lower priced room. This was disappointing as we had booked for a special birthday but they promised the room we booked for would be ready in the morning, next morning we go down to reception and they say come back later morning once check out is done and room cleaned. We came back and nothing still, again promised this would be sorted by the time we arrive back later in the day. We arrive back at hotel after long day out, nothings available other than an upgrade which we would need to pay for! Now we’ve lost some money on a night in a lower rate room, a 2nd night and they didn’t have the courteous or customer service to move us. Instead telling us to go through booking.com which we did and still nothing got done and we were informed that it would first thing for our last day the next morning, we go again… shock… still no rooms, we demanded a higher rate room for our last night or a refund the difference in rates, told we need to go back to booking.com again! Finally later that day they allow us the upgraded room in which surprisingly bad leaks and stains all over the walls and ceilings from leaking roof. Didn’t get any money back or token of gratitude
Thanks though to the two only helpful members of staff that listened and helped us (sorry I can’t recall names)

2/10 Staff will walk into your room while ur naked and not apologize
Hotel was nice and the night front desk man was very friendly and warm. Yet I stayed there march 9th with my partner to get some sleep as we work late and wanted to get some rest before working again around the neighborhood. After we booked a 2 pm checkout that I paid for, someone knocked on the door on room and entered room (2730 which had a cool view) without saying anything and walked into us naked laying in bed then quickly closed the door again. We figured it was housekeeping at noon. Then 30 minutes later or so we get a rude call from the front desk telling us that checkout was at 11-12. I told them we had a 2 pm check out over the phone, once again interrupting our sleep (they called twice). After I told him we had a late checkout he said left us alone but did not even apologize. The to add insult to injury a lady knocks on the door at 135pm to tell ask us for housekeeping and to kick us out again I guess when we had the do not disturb tag outside the door all night. I would have never paid for the late departure if I would have know the staff would not let us sleep. I would like to stay again but the behavior is u acceptable and un professional and my partner was really upset that a house person walked into the room while we layed nude, luckily our back was facing the door so they could not see much, then they quickly closed the door the door after opening without proper notice, and did not warn us upon coming in. This is not ok, terrible first impression. Other than that the hotel was cool. Just don’t book late checkout if u want to sleep late. We felt violated

7/10 Worth the price
It was easy to access and very noticeable off the streets. The staff was very helpful and there was a large dining area. Around the hotel was a cvs and some small markets to grab drinks and snacks at. Lots of room to store luggage in the room or not. There is also an amazing view, at least from where we were staying.

8/10 Good location, all staff amazing, comfy bed, facilities could have been better.
Although the communal areas of hotel looked very nice the actual room was a bit shabby. Very clean though. No water dispensers in my floor so had to go to next floor everytime I needed water. The ice function on the available water machine didn’t work. The batteries in tv remote didn’t work and shower handle came off in my hand first time tried to use it. Staff were very helpful & prompt at fixing shower & replacing batteries. Very comfortable bed. Great location for everything. Overall I’d expect a bit more for what I paid. I’d class this as a budget hotel. All staff super friendly & helpful.

i liked the position, the hotel was kinda close to where i was supposed to work and to a subway entrance.

10/10 Modern, Convenient, and Perfectly Located.
YOTEL New York is the perfect stay in the heart of the city. The hotel is modern, fully renovated, and offers great value for the price. My room was super cozy with spectacular skyline views, including the Empire State Building. The self check-in and check-out machines were very convenient, making the experience smooth and hassle-free. With its unbeatable location and comfort, I’d definitely stay here again.

9/10 PERFECT STAY CLOSE TO TIMES SQUARE
Amazing stay! The hotel is modern, clean and in a great location, about 12 min from Time Square. All the rooms have big windows with a lovely viewings, we were on the 20th floors and was spectacular. The room itself was a little bit small but we were not surprised as we did our research first. It has everything you might need for a short/medium/long stay. I could not recommend this place enough!

You get what you pay for! The rooms are small and in dire need of a repaint/refresh, but for the price (and assuming you’re not spending very long there) they’re workable. Beware - there is NO partition between the bathroom and bedroom area, unlike what the pictures on their website show, so unless you are VERY comfortable with the person you’re staying with, the basic rooms are probably best for solo travelers only.

This is my first time staying at Yotel in Times Square, The stay was truly amazing Anajaé helped us check in today and made everything super smooth for our stay. The rooms are cozy and lit with nice colorful lights. The view from our room is beautiful, I look forward to booking another stay at the hotel again.

I came to this hotel for the first time and absolutely loved it. I was greeted by anajae at the help desk and she helped me smoothly check in, she was incredibly sweet and very helpful, and was kind enough to give us an upgrade! She made everything work out perfectly! I highly recommend staying at YOTEL

It was very easy. The hotel staff was so kind and friendly. We ran into one waitress at the restaurant on the 4th floor that was incredibly rude. Other than that incident and the icemaker being broken on our floor it was really great. I would definitely stay again!

I liked the bed very much. The valet staff downstairs were very helpful. There is a CVS across the street which is useful should you need anything.
I disliked the broken ice machines.
I definitely recommend this location for any travelers.

I was early to check in. They refused to accept a credit card for the $4 bag storage fee, I had no cash on me. The automatic storage system was jammed and I had to wait 40min for the engineer to fix it, missed my meetings all because of $4
