Know before you go
To enter the fenced-off area of the Odoi, you need to borrow a key from Koetsudo, a wagashi (Japanese confectionery) shop across the road. You'll need to provide your name and phone number.
As of January 2026, the key lending service at Koetsudo is not available on weekdays, only on Saturdays.

Very good
5 ReviewsReviewers appreciate the chance to walk on this historical embankment and enjoy the views, especially during autumn. The main practical tip is that you need to borrow a key from the nearby wagashi shop, Koetsudo, to enter, and the gate itself can be a bit difficult to open.
