I did have one major problem though, AND the staff promised that a manager would get back to me but NOBODY every reached out. The water had stopped flowing in the bathroom. This prevented us from showering. We were told that it was because of a rain storm in Rome that caused a problem in the area. I expressed my concern and was told that no discount or benefit would be extended because it was not the hotels problem. I politely explained (to two of the staff on two different occasions) that, whether or not it was a direct cause of the hotel or not, as a paying guest we were substantially inconvenienced. Additionally, upon our return back to the hotel, although the water was then running, it was brown and had to be flushed for a few minutes for it to clear up. FYI, the desk clerks were very nice, but I am overall dissatisfied with the professionalism of the hotel and will not will not stay there in the future. Personally I would not recommend this hotel for the aforementioned reasons. If I was told that a supervisor would reach out to me, then I expected that he/she would (rather than blatantly lying about it). Should there be an issue in a hotel that inconveniences the patrons, there should be an effort made to keep the customer happy.show more

I liked the fact that Hotel Britannia had a number of rooms in the lobby area where you could relax. The staff were bright and cheerful and extremely helpful! When I entered my room, there's no light switch; it's only located next to the bedside tables. Truly strange and not at all convenient. One night in October, it was cold, but the air conditioning in my room didn't heat up, so they had to bring me a portable heater. The next day, they forgot to clean my room, and when I pointed it out at 4:30 PM, they had no one to fix the oversight. Only one young woman apologized and brought me clean towels, and I can only compliment her for her empathy. The good thing about this hotel is that the reception staff are smiling and full of goodwill. When you stay in a 4-star hotel, paying €1,330 for four nights, you expect a better service.show more
