I stayed in an accessible room on the main floor right beside the reception desk. My first impression was that it felt like a fairly standard hotel. The room was clean and so was the bathroom. I always check the sheets and they were in good condition too. I stayed for three nights and commuted to and from downtown Vancouver using the SkyTrain. The location was convenient, within walking distance to Richmond–Brighouse station. There is also a bus stop right outside the door, which is handy if you have mobility issues or if you want to explore other parts of Richmond without walking too far. I spent about $1000 (tax incl) for three nights and it was the best priced hotel I could find for my timeframe in the area.
The bed itself was not very comfortable. I could feel a spring in my back when I lay down, although the pillows were good. The room only had one USB port, located by the TV away from the bed. If you need to charge your devices, bring your own USB adapter and cords long enough to reach the bed if you plan on using your phone while charging. There was no safe in the room, which was disappointing. Safes really should be standard in hotels and motels these days.
The continental breakfast was a letdown. It did include cereal and milk, which were fine, and complimentary coffee, but the hot options were poor. I tried a sausage and it was inedible. The breakfast area was also too small for the size of the hotel, making it hard to find a seat in the morning, and they do not allow you to take food back to your room.
I did not use the free shuttle since it needs to be booked a day in advance, but my Uber from the airport to the hotel was only $18.
The front desk staff were not very friendly. Every time I walked by, they seemed glued to their phones, and a simple hello or some acknowledgment would have been appreciated. The Wi-Fi was decent but not great, and it disconnected after a while, which was frustrating. I ended up using my mobile data most of the time.Show More
