When we checked in, Tomasso at the front desk gave us a 10 min overview of everything relating to the hotel, exploring Rome, and any tips we might need. It was very helpful! The room was basic, but it was clean, comfortable, centrally located to exploring Rome, and a good value for the price. Breakfast had a lot of options and was a convenient way to start the day without having to find a cafe in the city. If you arrive before check-in or want to explore the city after checkout, you can leave your bags and still use the hotel amenities like bathroom, lounge, rooftop deck, etc. I would definitely stay here again if I go back to Rome.Show More

The location is perfect, close to the train station from the airport but also within easy walking distance of all the sights. The room is clean but doesn't have many frills, but Rome isn't a place to go and waste time in a room. It's comfortable, and that's what matters. The breakfast buffet is superb. Starting the day there and then coming back for a drink on the rooftop to observe the sunset before heading out to dinner is pretty ideal. All of the staff I encountered are friendly and helpful. When I return to Rome for a third time, I will once again be staying at Hotel Colosseum.Show More

The breakfast was really good - lots of choices and was more than welcome to start a long day of walking! Great showers - room basic and very clean. We tried to grab a beer at the rooftop bar but as we entered it was absolutely teeming in down so we gave it a miss. We had a wonderful large balcony on the 7th floor. Overall it was a great stay and would recommend for sure.Show More

Tomasso very informative helped us with a restaurant booking we had. He also arranged for a complimentary bottle of bubbly to our room as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Santa Maria Maggiore at bottom of the street definitely worth visiting it’s a beautiful church. Overall brilliant and would stay again on our next visit to Rome.Show More
