As I w...I recently held a corporate event at the hotel and had a wonderful experience. The sales and banquet team did a fantastic job, my onsite contact JC was excellent and a pleasure to work with. As I was leaving, we found my car would not start and the valet team was extraordinary in helping me with his frustrating situation. I can't say enough about how helpful they were. I especially want to thank Dino at the valet. He went above and beyond making sure I was taken care of and was able to get the help I needed. He was extraordinary and I can't thank him enough. The GM, Dragan was also extremely helpful and just everyone was so pleasant and caring. I was very impressed with the excellent service I received. Thank you to the Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown team for providing a great experience and turning a difficult situation into something manageable, which left me feeling inspired. I hold many events throughout the city and find that this high level of service and professionalism is not as common these days and I truly appreciated it. This was our first trip to Tampa and we stayed at Hyatt Place due to its central location. The hotel was very clean and modern and the rooms spacious. Buffet breakfast was available each morning whic...This was our first trip to Tampa and we stayed at Hyatt Place due to its central location. The hotel was very clean and modern and the rooms spacious. Buffet breakfast was available each morning which was substantial but could have had more variety - of eggs in particular. Also, when there are weekend events on, get down super early as it gets packed! Some sights were within walking distance i.e. Riverwalk/some restaurants, but there are no shops nearby except a chemist. We had to Uber everywhere, although there is a local HART bus that runs past the hotel and free streetcar which you can get 5 minutes walk away. One recommendation is NOT to get taxi from airport as its a rip-off...get an uber or lyft. Even if you hired a car, it was $45 per night to park at the hotel. Recommendations to visit: Premium Outlet, Hyde Park Village and cinema, Brandon Mall, Clearwater Beach We would definitely visit Tampa again and stay at Hyatt PlaceShow More

The bartenders were very friendly and funny and took safety very serious. They paid special attention to allergies that I had and made sure drinks were made and distributed in a contained manner as not to cause any concern to allergic reactions. The WIFI was easy to connect to and options to cast apps to the tv were completed with ease. Parking is very easy and valet is not as expensive as other hotels I have been to. They also have multiple parking garages within walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast offered was amazing including grits, eggs, different bread options, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and a number of drinks. I would highly recommend a stay here.Show More

Our room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The included breakfast had many more options than I thought there would be. Their signature burger in the evening was one of the best burgers we have had. The banana bread pudding was freaking fantastic!!! I will always try bread pudding, and this was one of the top 5 bread puddings I have ever had! Our waitress, Milica, went above and beyond and probably warranted more than the 30% tip we gave her. To say that I was surprised by the the hotel restaurant's food, service and atmosphere would be an understatement.Show More
