The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. If you plan to visit, keep in mind that the menu focuses on cocktails and small bites—the view alone makes it worth the trip!
After dinner, we went to the main lobby for a nightcap. The server was extremely overwhelmed by a large wedding party . She was doing her best to accommodate everyone. We sat near two guests from the party who mentioned they had been waiting over 20 minutes without service, so they went to the bar to order directly.
My husband tried the same approach, but the bartender refused to serve him, stating we had to wait for the server. When my husband attempted to explain, the bartender cut him off, raised his hand, and said, “I’m not serving you—wait.”
I then approached the bar to speak with a manager. The bartender stampeded toward me and raised his voice, saying, “I’m not serving you. You have to wait. I don’t care how long—that’s the rule.” I suggested he take our drink order and have the server deliver it, but he continued to escalate, so I walked away.
A few minutes later, a manager (assuming) brought our drinks but slammed them down, appearing upset. She also aggressively put down our bill. The server later apologized profusely, and we assured her we weren’t upset with her—she was clearly handling an overwhelming workload. Our intention was to help by ordering at the bar. She asked us to stay and she would take great care of us, but by then we no longer felt comfortable.
As the holidays approach, I encourage the staff to work together and assist each other with drink orders when possible. It was my husband’s birthday, and we flew in to Denver for this experience, so this situation put a damper on the evening. I hope the service at the main lobby bar improves moving forward.Show More
