We checked in on 11/8 in the early afternoon, but only one of our rooms was ready. All four of us went to my room with our luggage to change for the pool. When we returned a few hours later, two of our suitcases were missing from the room. We asked our husbands, thinking there might be some mix-up, but they hadn’t touched them. We immediately went to the front desk, where staff said they would review the key log and security footage. However, we were told the cameras only cover the elevators, and that the system showed only our key had accessed the room. They even acknowledged seeing us bring the bags in—so where did they go? This wasn’t a small theft like jewelry that could’ve been locked in a safe—two full suitcases vanished. The most disappointing part was the complete lack of response from management. The manager never reached out to apologize; we had to initiate every conversation with security ourselves. No one offered basic assistance, not even a toothbrush or reassurance about our safety. No one came to inspect the locks or door. The entire experience was unacceptable. The lack of accountability, security, and customer service is appalling. I would never stay here again—it truly feels like an inside job.show more

While billed as a recently renovated hotel, this is really just an older hotel with a more recent coat of paint and new furnishings/hardware. There are still tub/showers and old countertops with cabinet paint. The shower water temp fluctuates wildly between warm and scalding. There are many elevators, but it only seems that a few are working. Once an employee told me that I could ride the service elevator with him, because it might take "forever for the elevator to arrive." That was thoughtful of him, although probably would not have been needed if all the elevators were running. I stayed here for a week for a conference in the convention center, and the Hyatt is very conveniently located for this purpose. Overall, the facility did seem to be cleaned fairly well, and the staff were friendly. However, I probably would not return to this Hyatt hotel unless I had another convention center event.show more

Rooms were comfortable with adequate space, hardwood floors, and a reasonably up-to-date bathroom. During my stay elevators were a bit slow but improved towards the end of the visit. Food is excellent in the restaurants and lobby area, but it would’ve been nice to have more seating available on Sunday mornings for breakfast rather than just lobby seating. The restaurant was closed on Sunday morning, which was a bit odd but a self-service area, omelette bar, and coffee shop was open on the first floor.show more

Only 2-3 elevators were working at a time (and not consistently). For a high rise hotel and a busy conference this is a problem. The elevators were also dirty. The lights and sound indicators were also inconsistently working adding to the buildup of people waiting. Our room had broken lamp shades and the door looked as if it had been pried open at one point. In the gym only 3 of for exercise bikes were working (the only peloton was the only one that worked). All in all this was the worst conference hotel I have stayed in.show more
