The Good: 1) The pool was great with lots of seating, towels, change room/washroom and shower as well as nice temp water and the slide was a lot of fun! 2) The kids’ game room was a nice surprise, though my kids didn’t use it. They have foosball, Nintendo switch and several games to choose from. 3) Staff and Room Cleanliness - these were definitely positives. 4) Wifi! A major plus for my gaming obsessed kids. The Cons: 1) The room was smallish and the computer desk encroached into the closet area that lead to the bathroom. It was a bit tight to manoeuvre through when my son was on his laptop at the desk. 2) Though advertised as a hotel, the section we stayed in was accessible by stairs only (not a big issue and we were aware upon reservation). It was apparent that our area was once a separate (motel) building with additions to add it to the main hotel. The carpets here were dingy and the light in the hallway was bright. The room had windows that faced the hall - but the curtains were inadequate to block the light at night. This seemed to be the ugly step-sister of the hotel… and for $350 for one night (Sunday), we expected more. I don’t feel like any photos accurately showed our area of the room/hotel. 3) Restaurant/Bar was closed Sunday when we wanted takeout but did have a complimentary breakfast in the morning which was decent. Nothing remarkable really, but definitely one of the better free ones we’ve had.Show More

Overall we had a good time and no major issues. While we chose a more budget friendly hotel some of the amenities were underwhelming and in the future we would likely spend a bit more to upgrade our stay somewhere in a better area with nicer amenities. However, it wasn’t terrible and we did have a good time. Pros: - Check in /out was smooth - Staff were delightful - Parking was easy and accessible - Breakfast was decent - Pool was a nice touch Cons: - the rooms were not so great. The bathroom was unappealing to be in. There were what looked like black mold stains in the shower, the trim and toilet paper dispenser were wonky and just looked unkept. Useable but off putting and seems like something that could be easily fixed if they wanted to. - TV didn’t have smart functions so it wasn’t great to use late at night - Could easily hear other guests in their rooms if they moved something etc - The view was just of a busy road which was underwhelming and a bit noisy - location was a busy area of town and not what we were expecting from PEI. It wasn’t walkable to anything exciting unfortunately although it was convenient to be near box stores and chain restaurants in a pinch. - food would run out at the restaurant, and staff wasn’t managing patrons as there was a lot of chaos in the breakfast buffet area - not related to the hotel itself but found there were a lot of rude/loud guests in common areas beyond what you would expect Show More

I want to point out some things that aren't really a huge deal, but when putting them together can be an issue for people and it's something to be aware of. The hotel appears to be split into two different parts. If you are in the second part, there is no elevator and you have to carry your suitcases up stairs. In this area as well (and possible the rest of the hotel I don't really know) the main window for the room faces the hallway? So we had to keep the curtains closed the entire time so people weren't looking in or us seeing them walk by, and the room was very dark otherwise. Was also very small, and outdated and there was a bit of a musty smell. One of the beds was also terrible, I think it was broken as the other bed was firm, and ours was very sinky (our child was in the other bed so we couldn't use it) Breakfast was ok, lots of variety but taste was meh but it was included so that's a plus. Parking was included which is good, and overall things were clean so despite it sounding like I'm complaining, it's fine for what it was but just be aware if you are looking for higher end as this is not.Show More

In the week we were there house keeping “cleaned” the room twice. By clean I mean made the bed and left clean towels, failed to remove dirty towels, garbage or sweep and mop the floor. They would knock on your door everyday and ask if you needed anything and when we were fed up we said yes clean the room. The bed sheets felt as though they were filled with sand. When we asked for a late checkout they told us we would have to check back the morning we left and if yes it was half a nights rental to check out at 1 and 2 was a full night rental. Show More
