Location was perfect for where we were attending an event, nice and close to venue. The road you had to take to get hotel is full of potholes and it was dark (no lighting), you had to dodge the potho...Location was perfect for where we were attending an event, nice and close to venue. The road you had to take to get hotel is full of potholes and it was dark (no lighting), you had to dodge the potholes. Atmosphere: lobby was welcoming, nicely decorated. Rooms - size of room was fine for the two of us, elevator was close to our room which was great. Value: Price is typical for a hotel in Moncton New Brunswick (close to the Casino) on a weekend. It was expensive but just being competitive with other hotels. Cleanliness: This is where the problem is - when my friend turned her blankets down that nite to go to bed there were human hairs all over the sheets - long hair and a lot of pubic hair and the sheets were wrinkled - it was obvious sheets were not changed. Friend slept on top sheet all night. We did not say anything that night as employee at front desk told us that if we need anything we would have to go down to desk as she was not able to leave desk to help us with anything as she was only one on duty. Next morning on our way out to our event we stopped at customer check in desk and reported the bedding problem - employee informed us that he would give us fresh linen and that we would have to change it ourselves. We said that was not acceptable and that it should be hotel responsible to change bedding and employee finally agreed that it would be done by the time we got back that night (and it was done). The bathtub also had long hair left on wall along with hair on the floor of the tub, again looked like it was not cleaned. At the end of my bed there was a peanut shell (we did not have any peanuts in the room) - I would say the vacuuming was not done. Keycard would not work when we tried to enter our room. Friend ran down to customer check in desk and employee told her that it was an ongoing problem all night with other guests and told us to try sliding it upside down and to go slowly. We did that a number of times before it finally worked. All during our stay we had to slide key a number of times before it worked. Noise level - we had no problem with noise Service: The gal that checked us in on Friday night was Okay. She could have mentioned about the key problem before we went to our room. The employee in the morning when we complained about bedding issue was not that great of help and had somewhat of an attitude but did finally agree to find staff to change the bed. He could have been nicer about it. Charlene who works in the breakfast area was a sweetheart. She was very welcoming, always checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed and wished a great day. She was amazing. Beautiful soul. Amenities - we were only there to sleep really at the hotel so we did not use any of the amenities so cannot comment on them at all.Show More

The upgrade to a suite was a nice suggestion and reasonably priced. The room was very clean and it was nice to not have to worry about hairdryers or irons. Because our dog, Max, travels with us, it is important to us that we can have a clean, comfortable (good beds and good quality linen), well maintained hotel that offers parking, wifi, and complimentary breakfast. This hotel meets all of those requirements, and has become our predictable place to stay as we go to and from our home in Ontario to our cottage in Eastern Canada each year. It would be nice to see ‘off season’ rates, but we are not complaining. Did I mention a friendly, helpful staff. Full points for that too!Show More
