But let me detail as to why only two stars: Restaurant: our...I am providing two stars simply because of the front desk staff they were friendly and courteous, especially the individual who checked us. But let me detail as to why only two stars: Restaurant: our first terrible interaction was with a retiring staff( Hispanic woman with blond hair). She was dismissive and cold when I wanted to order to go as we waited for our rooms. It was as if I was a bother to her because I was not sitting at the bar and opening a tab. Our second interaction with another retiring staff was more pleasant (dark hair woman worked Saturday night) she noticed I had my son with me and came around the bar and brought our food. She was super kind. Third interaction was with the Hispanic woman again and this time was worse. She was not kind to a food runner who brought a burger to her customer that had fries instead of chips . It was her fault because she is the one who obviously rung up the order. When I noticed we waited a while I walked over to the bar to check and our bag was just sitting there as she twirled her hair while smiling and talking to a customer. But I didn’t get a smile. Our food was sitting there for quite some time because I passed by several times and saw the bag but because she never motioned to me I assumed it was not ours. Mind you we were the only ones sitting to the left in the lobby where she can see us. Overall the food was not that great. Especially our final Night the brown rice was bad smelled as if it was spoiled. My son who loves Rice refused to eat it . When we smelled it we knew why. Housekeeping: The housekeeping staff at the hotel needs training. When we went up to our rooms we instantly felt the room was a rushed. As we were spit to get our baby situated after a long drive a housekeeping staff opened the door peeked in and shut the door. Then 30 min later another staff tried to do the same but couldn’t open because we placed the lock on the door. When we tried to take a towel for a shower three had brown stains on them. That night as we were about to fall asleep I felt something in the duvet , it was someone else’s bracelet! When we woke up our allergies were terrible because the room was so dusty. Having a toddler with you and packing up to go to another room Was not something we felt like doing. They brought towels the following and again brown stains. Called front desk they told us towels would come up in ten minutes we waited and waited for almost an hour until my husband went out to flag a housekeeper and that is when we had some towels.Show More

The hotel is right in the heart of the action — close to d...I stayed at the Westin Tampa Waterside for a girls’ lacrosse tournament in Brandon, and it ended up being the perfect home base for our trip. The hotel is right in the heart of the action — close to downtown events, restaurants, and the waterfront — which made it easy to enjoy the area in between games. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, with that classic Westin feel that makes it easy to unwind after long tournament days. Valet services were fast and convenient, which was a huge plus since we were constantly coming and going. Getting to the tournament each day was simple, and the drive to the airport was quick and stress-free. On-site amenities were great, and we had a really enjoyable dining experience without ever needing to leave the property. There’s plenty to do right around the hotel as well, which made the weekend feel like part-tournament, part-mini-vacation. Overall, I’d absolutely recommend the Westin Tampa Waterside and would happily stay here again. It made our trip easy, comfortable, and fun!Show More

On the way to my room I was immediately struck by the fact that the floors in the hallway looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in quite some time they were dirty with some larger pieces of debris lying around. The room itself was clean,which came as a pleasant surprise having seen the state of the hallway. The room itself looked dated I’m guessing that the last time the room was renovated was at least 20 years ago. The bed was comfortable no complaints about sleep quality ,until the room doors started banging at about 0800. The room doors are very heavy and the other guests were having to slam the in order to have them shut properly, the constant banging of doors didn’t allow me to get back to sleep.I was further disturbed by drilling in a nearby room, the only positive was that the noise lasted on and off for only about an hour. I went down for breakfast and was even more disappointed in the level of the cleanliness of the hallway, the table opposite the elevator was thick with dust, somebody managed to write a message in the dust it was that thick. The staff at breakfast were very welcoming and efficient, the food on offer was acceptable nothing noteworthy. I opted to choose from the menu rather than the breakfast buffet, the menu offering was limited to only a few options. Overall I would say this hotel is not nearly up to a standard of a Westin hotel, could be cleaner and I found the hotel to be completely outdated. .Show More

I had the most amazing experience with the people in this hotel. I want to highlight Mr. Atanas Atanasov, Director of Room Service. They gave me a room with a view that you can’t beat. Also, I needed a meeting room to host a meeting for my customers. Due to a misunderstanding on my behalf, the room was booked a day earlier. As a result, after the hotel sat the room up, I didn’t show up. When I came the day after and asked to use the room, I was told that my contract is for the night before. However, Mr. Atanaov, told me the room is available and I can use it. Also, they made exception by having the restaurant staff come down and served us a great dinner. So many people I interacted with including Haley, Front Disk, Silvia and Trent, the bar, Juan, breakfast room, After I met Mr. Matt Gerber, the Hotel General Manager, I am not surprised at all about the quality of the people who work there. He was so great to talk to. The hotel is great with amazing view and great restaurants at the hotel and very close by This hotel is going to be my home-away from home.
