This was my 3rd time staying at this hotel. 1st time was good. 2nd time the elevator did not work leaving 1 working elevator. Upon my 3rd time stay, I encountered cockroaches that entered my open suit...This was my 3rd time staying at this hotel. 1st time was good. 2nd time the elevator did not work leaving 1 working elevator. Upon my 3rd time stay, I encountered cockroaches that entered my open suitcase. When I spotted movement in my suitcase, I immediately went to the bathroom to shake out my garments. 3 roaches along with a tiny roach was discovered and killed. I quickly brought the dead roaches to the front desk and was moved to a room 2 stories below. The free breakfast on my first morning consisted of dry cereal with no milk, 1 type of juice, no eggs, sausage, bacon, no bread for toast, no yogurt, fruit or batter for waffles. I spoke to a woman that worked there and asked where the breakfast food was. She said she was the manager and would check it out for me. She made me feel like she was annoyed because I said if she worked for me, she would have been fired because of the horrible complaints that others along with me told her about. In addition, the one and only ice machine did not work to supply ice for the hotel. I was in Florida and ice is a NECESSITY! The manager offered me a chance to discuss the roach situation after my mediocre breakfast. Her solution was to comp my room, sign a paper about the situation and leave the hotel. I am a senior citizen that did not have access to another place to stay. I did contact the Florida Health Department about my complaints and a posted sign on the outside of the building stating the building was possibly unsafe and shall not be occupied.Show More
