I wouldn’t normally stay in such an expensive/luxury room. But my son and his girlfriend live in Dublin (we live in Canada) and so we only get to be with them a couple of times per year. And we kind of wanted to have our “White Lotus” vacation together in the same family suite. It was incredible. Both rooms had their own bathrooms (one with separate shower and tub and bathroom the other with shower-only) and walk out terraces with amazing views). There was also a powder room, a great living/dining room), extra walking closet and bar area. Only one “complaint”. More of an observation really. They always stalked 4 expresso pods in the room for the coffee machine - 2 regular and 2 decaf. I would guess that’s the case in all the rooms - but since this suite was 2-bedroom, and we were 4 adults, it would have been better for us if they left a couple of extra regular pods. I know how incredibly petty that sounds. But it was the only thing I could think of that wasn’t just plain perfect. In any case…Wow! It turned out to be the best hotels any of us have ever stayed at, anywhere in the world. I would put it on par with only a few others. Namely, the Langham (London), Four Seasons (Toronto and New York), and Mena House (Giza). The staff was always pleasant, helpful and professional. The breakfast was extremely high quality, with plenty of choice. Thebars were great (pool bar made the best pina coloda outside of Mexico). The on-site restaurants are a must try at least once, and the town square with its many great eateries and high restaurants end shops is just around 8 minutes away via the hotel’s complimentary shuttle. After this leg of the trip, we went our separate ways, with my fiancé and I going to Positano for a few days and my son and his girlfriend exploring more of Sicily. But our time all together at the Hotel San Pietro was by far the best, most luxurious, and relaxing time any of us had in an Italy.Show More

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the level of service and attention to detail at this hotel. The staff were not only professional and courteous, but genuinely warm and welcoming. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect — from helping us with bookings at restaurants and the Romeo & Juliet ballet production at the Ancient Theatre in Taormina. Every member of the team was friendly and always offering thoughtful suggestions for family-friendly outings, or simply greeting us with a smile each morning, their hospitality was unmatched. The facilities were outstanding — modern, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. The pool area was a particular highlight, with plenty of space for both relaxation and play. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals with options that catered beautifully to both adults and children. And the views… absolutely breathtaking. Nestled in a stunning location, the hotel offered panoramic vistas that we’ll never forget. We wish we were back there! We’ve stayed in many places over the years, but few have made us feel as cared for and comfortable as this one. From the moment we walked in, we were warmily greeted by Chiara at the front desk who walked us through a map of the town, shuttle service times along with the time of the breakfast buffet. The concierge then took us around the beautifully kept grounds and showed us our room. We were celebrating our honeymoon and came to our room to see champagne, strawberries and cookies which was such a kind gesture! We stayed in the Standard room and it was absolutely gorgeous. It was so clean and smelled amazing, so much so that the concierge told us where we could purchase the scent in town. The hotel cleaning staff kept the room immaculate throughout our stay. The entire staff was so friendly and welcoming. On our first day, we were warmly greeted by Christian, where he provided recommendations on what to drink and made is outstanding cocktails. He also introduced us to Alessio and Naomi, who were also outstanding. Our favorite time of day was going to the bar to get cocktails and talking with these 3. They made us feel like we’d known each other forever, which we loved! We truly had an outstanding experience and cannot wait to return. The service was wonderful the reception was so kind and helpful 5 stars . The spa - my massage was amazing ,deep tissue , with dry and stream saunas followed by a hot tub and view of the sea . The pool atmosphere and other guests were very friendly and social and the setting is spectacular. Breakfast on our terrace with a view of the Sea was complimentary . I left my nice Sunglasses at the spa the day before we left . Upon check out , the glasses had not been found . The manager credited our bill for both my wife’s and my massage 200 euro . 5 minutes later housekeeping found them and he still honored the credit . The shuttle leaves every hour but they make every effort to provide a special extra pick up or ride to town .We stayed 3 nights . They also honored the Amex $100 credit . The snacks in the room plus a bottle of wine and waters were all complimentary. You pay for luxury and it feels that way at the Grand Hotel Dan Pietro it’s no wonder they have a 5 stars Luxury rating .Show More
