Customer service at check in was good. However, when I asked if the room was feather free I was told (by the female supervisor fixing the phone wires) "we do not have feathers in this hotel" I was ...Customer service at check in was good. However, when I asked if the room was feather free I was told (by the female supervisor fixing the phone wires) "we do not have feathers in this hotel" I was pleased to hear that, even though when a different front desk agent picked up the phone to call housekeeping to ensure the room was feather free the supervisor again stated there are no feathers in the room. Once I went up to my room within a few minutes my eyes started to water and my skin began to itch. I knew immediately that she had lied and I knew there were feathers in the room due to my reaction. The first pillow I grabbed was a feather pillow and I looked at the label which confirmed that it was a Down pillow. I called to the front desk to complain and state that this was dangerous that an employee would lie to a guest about something as serious as an allergy concern which could cause hospitalization due to breathing difficulties. I never received an apology just a 15 min period of someone continously knocking at my door. The phone in my room rang, woke me up when I answered someone said that housekeeping were knocking at my door for 15mins and I did not answer. She could hear that I was having difficulty breathing. I told her the pillow was outside of my room in the corridor because I was not going to have a feather pillow in my room to cause me more difficulty. I told her to get rid of the pillow that was outside of my door and that housekeeping did not need to keep knocking to come into my room. The bath tub was full of someone's hair and it was disgusting. I took pics and took the pics downstairs to show the front desk. This was a really disappointing stay and my hope is that the female supervisor will be given clear instructions not to lie to guests who have allergies. That is like telling someone that the food they ordered has no peanuts in it and then wondering why they have a sickly and dangerous reaction. The management needs to do better, allergies can be life threatening and not something staff should lie about. The front desk agent who attempted to call housekeeping to ensure the room was feather free should not have been interrupted and told she didn't need to call housekeeping because "we don't have feathers in this hotel"Show More
