The third day, we discovered tha...We stayed in a twin-queen room from Friday night to Monday morning. One of the days, the room was serviced well enough. Another day, plastic cups were not replenished. The third day, we discovered that one of the beds was made but the other was partially unmade, but differently from how we’d left it—as is somebody had taken a nap in it. The same evening, we discovered that the wet bath towels that we’d left in the bathroom that morning (one on the door hook, the other on the shower-curtain bar) had been folded and stuffed into the fresh-towel cubby. PROS: Convenient to airport, affordable, 24h shuttle. Reasonably clean room. Breakfast included; coffee tasted OK. CONS: Insufficient front-desk staff, leading to lines and harried performance any time of day or night. Tired and stained furnishings, blinds too small to block outside light, shower head holder too loose to keep the shower head pointing downwards. Unprecedentedly bad housekeeping service (see above). Bottom line: Not bad enough to spoil our vacation, but we won’t back and will avoid the entire chain in the future.show more

The Night Auditor was not friendly. We checked out at 230am. I told him I needed to switch the payment on file for the parking charge. He told me he hadn’t rolled the day over yet so he couldn’t change it. I explained I had to update it because the card on file for incidentals was my company card. He then said if I waited 10-15 min he would update. If I had 10-15 min, I wouldn’t be up and at the front desk at 230am. He was so dry about it and offered no apology for the inconvenience. I left without resolution. Very disappointed. I don’t mind paying, but in this situation and as a Diamond Elite, he should have offered to waive the $10 parking charge for me or offered to call me once the system was updated to allow me to provide a new form of payment.show more

flight was delayed and we didn't arrive until 2:30 am. knowing that would be the case i did an online chat with IHG to ask them to let the hotel know we would arrive late. when we arrived at the fro...flight was delayed and we didn't arrive until 2:30 am. knowing that would be the case i did an online chat with IHG to ask them to let the hotel know we would arrive late. when we arrived at the front desk we found a nasty, unfriendly woman (this was 2:30 am on Friday 10/17 if management wants to take any action). first thing out of her mouth was - "too late - we gave away your room". for the next few minutes I thought she was checking something on her computer - turned out she was just on her phone texting. i asked again - she said if you don't show up by 11 they can give away your room. insane....at an airport location, and for a room I pre-paid for. finally after a while she reluctantly gave me a room. a ground floor room with no shades, looking out at the parking lot. based on this experience i will never go to a holiday inn express again. i think my wife would kill me.show more
