We have stayed at this hotel a few times before as well as the original in London and I have to query if standards are slipping. There was a wait to check in whilst check in desks were empty and staff...We have stayed at this hotel a few times before as well as the original in London and I have to query if standards are slipping. There was a wait to check in whilst check in desks were empty and staff stood at the Guest Services not noticing the queue. ( This also occurred at check out). We then were advised that due to our loyalty we had been “upgraded”, wonderful but when we got to the room it was exactly the one that we had booked? The room itself was amazing, the bed and pillows comfortable and the linens exceptional. A few minor gripes were that the once simple aircon controls now seem harder to use and the aircon itself not very responsive. The bathroom was fine although looking a little outdated and our sink was damaged with a constantly dripping tap (you could not hear this outside of the bathroom) My main issue was with the staffing at breakfast. The food, beverages and sheer amount of variety was as excellent as ever, but there was no warm greeting as we presented ourselves and no acknowledgment of our wait as there were people ahead of us. The person on duty was also wearing a face mask dangling from one ear and under his neck, either wear one or don’t, this looked very unsightly and is probably unhygienic. Once seated, the circulating staff members did not smile, did not clear plates swiftly and did not come to offer more hot drinks, except when the kitchen was about to close. This was never our experience on previous visits and it tarnished our stay a little. It would have been off putting for any new guests in our opinion. The food and beverages manager needs to take note. Finally there was a couple of special events on during our stay and we got the distinct impression from observing the greetings and arrangements made, that their custom was more valuable than ours. All guests should feel equally valued and that has always been our experience at a Langham. I have had to mark this stay down a star due to all of the above. It would not prevent us from staying there again but my expectations would be lower.Show More

From planning to pack-down, the team was exceptional. Every detail mattered to them. Nothing was too hard, every request was met with a smile, and their communication before and during the event was world-class. Our guests kept commenting on how seamless everything felt — the service, the food, the ambience, the atmosphere. What stood out the most was how supported we felt. We weren’t just another booking — the team genuinely cared about our event’s success and went above and beyond to make sure we could focus on our guests, our speakers, and the experience. The event finished with the room buzzing, people lingering because they didn’t want to leave. If you’re looking for a venue that delivers luxury, service, and heart — The Langham is the place to be. I think this hotel is for the Ladies and Gents from the far suburbs who love a dress-up dainty tea and lots of plastic flower Disney treacle. Our room is so outdated and furniture very tired. Had to move lots of furniture to find electrical plugs. USB cable hook ups aren’t available ( although wireless service is). The readily available service is a dialup modem connection (?!). Like the interiors, this place is from the 1990’s. Or well before. After a wait at check-in and cold greeting, no dining room open on premises. The dreary looking bar had a few stragglers, almost like we were in the far Outback. Not inviting. Place needs a refresh. This is a group convention/ travel agent package hotel. If you want refinement, elegance and true luxury, look elsewhere.Show More
