The staff were exceptional—from the cleaners to the rotating receptionists, everyone was friendly, helpful, and professional. I arrived four hours early and was still allowed to check in, which made a great first impression. Throughout my stay, the receptionists were always attentive and ready to assist with anything I needed. My room on the 5th floor looked exactly like the photos—modern, clean, and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, and housekeeping came every 2–3 days, always knocking first. You can decline cleaning or request it another day. Fresh towels, toiletries, and other essentials were provided upon request. A tip: keep a white light (like the bathroom light) on overnight, as insects are drawn to warm-toned lighting. The location is excellent. Saint-Laurent station is right around the corner, making it easy to get around. Berri-UQAM, about a 10-minute walk away, connects the green, orange, and yellow metro lines, making the whole city easily accessible. There’s a large mall just 4 minutes away, another one about 20 minutes away, and tons of food spots nearby, many open late. Chinatown is just an 8-minute walk. Local festivals are also common in the area—some noise, but I still slept well. Only downside: there are many homeless people around, especially near Chinatown. Most are harmless, but it’s something to be aware of. Overall, a fantastic stay. I’d definitely return.Show More

However. Drawbacks included.. not a clean space.. the carpet was very dirty, as were the windows and surfaces. The toilet was leaking water, the bathroom door didnt lock. There was no microwave or coffee machine in the room. There was no key card for the doors which felt unsafe as i had to memorize both the code for the front door and for the main door. This would all be manageable but on top of this the neighborhood seemed very unsafe. I'm someone who had worked with homelessness and substance use so i usually feel safe in seedy neighborhoods.. but this was particularly dangerous feeling. The parking suggested by the hotel wasn't accessible because of large crowds of people who appeared to be using drugs heavily in the alley you need to take to get to the parking garage. At about 11pm all these crowds moved out into the main street. From my window i could witness sex workers, lots of substance use, and around midnight a violent incident led to the street being closed off by police and ambulances. It was quite scary... The staff were very helpful and reassuring, but if you plan on being out at night at all i would not recommend this hotel unfortunately. I rarely leave poor reviews but i wish i had been prepared for my night here. I was quite shaken witnessing the events out front of the hotel. Show More

Upon arrival around 6:00 p.m., we w...I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my stay at your hotel from June 10 to June 12, which was extremely disappointing due to several serious issues. Upon arrival around 6:00 p.m., we were given an entry code for Room 406, only to find it already occupied with someone else’s luggage inside. This raised major security concerns. When we returned to reception, the manager casually reassigned us to Room 403, without an apology or explanation. We had booked a family room, but Room 403 was clearly smaller and not what we paid for. No mention was made of the downgrade or the price difference. When we asked for a “Do Not Disturb” sign later, the manager responded, “Don’t worry, I won’t rob you,” which was completely unprofessional. The next day, another staff member said we were still registered in Room 406, adding to the confusion. When we asked for a refund or to be moved to the room we booked, we were told to check out if we wanted a refund. After agreeing, the manager then said it must go through the booking platform. Room 406 was still not cleaned after a full day. When we asked for the manager’s name at checkout, the receptionist refused. Due to the downgrade, poor treatment, unprofessional behavior, and confusion, we respectfully request a refund. I can provide booking confirmation or further details to assist.Show More

The only thing I would me...Overall the room was nice, I had the deluxe room, and it was clean, tidy and quite large, the view was bad though, looked on to a brick wall, but I overall couldn't complain. The only thing I would mention is the area around the hotel can be a bit unsafe at times, I would not recommend going out at night as there was a number of suspicious individuals around. But for the hotel itself I felt fine they lock the front door and provide you a key code to get in to the hotel, that way no one can get in unless they have the code. Now I will say that the individual rooms don't have a deadbolt or a door latch and the only lock it a keycode lock. Also I should mention that at the time of me staying there the internal AC seems to not have been working so they had installed a window AC unit, it worked fine and for my large room it seemed to cool the room well enough. One benefit I did not see mentioned about the area is that there is a box bike rental station very close to the hotel and a IGA grocery store a couple of blocks away if you're trying to be cheap like me while backpacking. Would I recommend this place? For people with families, probably not... But for solo backpackers like me I would recommend it overall.Show More
