First, the positives. The beds were clean and comfortable (they mistakenly put us in a room with two queens instead of one king, which is what we asked for). We had a great view of downtown, the shower pressure is great and there was a cute little coffee bar area with fridge and microwave. Negatives - our room was not cleaned for nearly our entire stay, despite several requests to front desk to have this done. We were told repeatedly it would be done by end of day, and when we returned after sightseeing, it was still not done. We arrived on Saturday morning and left Tuesday morning, and it was done Monday around 4 pm. Otherwise not touched. Manager gave us coupons for the breakfast as an apology. -Elevator smelled like vomit, then later smelled very strongly of disinfectant for the rest of our stay. -Breakfast buffet was not fresh. The food was cold, and there was no juice offered. So, overall it was an okay stay. We were not thrilled with the service, but we are experienced travellers and we managed. Great location and comfortable rooms, but just be mindful of the poor food options and service.Show More

If... 1) it's in your budget 2) all you want is a clean place to sleep, sit, and shower 3) you don't mind wearing shoes in the room all the time ... then go for it. Just don't expect anything more. The location of this place is fantastic. We had a two-bedroom suite with a small kitchenette/living area. The room and beds were comfortable enough, and most things were clean-ish, although the floor was filthy, and the space lacks some very basic conveniences: • No counter or table space in the bathroom or bedrooms. I had to spread my jewelry and toiletries out in the living room every day, and then pack it back up so it didn't look untidy. • There is no shelf in the shower for shampoo and conditioner; they have to go on the floor. • The tiny soap dish in the shower is basically a bowl of water, so the soap just gets soggy. • The shower plumbing was a nice style, but it needs cleaning and tightening, because the handle and the shower head just flop down and don't stay where you point them. • The TVs are old -- which is fine in itself -- but there is no way to stream internet content unless you happen to carry a variety of old video/audio input cords. • The window in our bedroom didn't close all the way, so we could hear outside noise and conversations, and forest fire smoke flowed in as well. • Location and hours of the restaurant and bar? Location and rules of the gym and outdoor lounge? Good luck. There is no obvious signage in the lobby or any information in the room. But worst of all, the floor was ABSURDLY dirty. I have stayed at extremely low-quality hotels in 3rd world countries and never had my feet turn black after 15 minutes of walking around barefoot. We requested that the floor be mopped, and it never was, even though we stayed three more days! I mentioned it at check-out and barely got a half-hearted apology. I would be embarrassed to work at this hotel. I sincerely hope they make some improvements, because the place has a lot of potential and just needs some little tweaks -- and customer service training! -- to move up a notch or two. (I took photos of my dirty feet, but I won't upload them. That's just too much.)Show More

I reported this to the front desk, showing the photo. The front desk attendants said they do not believe it is a bed bug. We went up to my room. I inspected some more and saw several in the seams of the bench at the foot of the bed. I showed this to the attendants. They took pictures of the bedbugs and took steps to vacate me out of the room. They said the hotel was at maximum capacity and there were no rooms available for me. I waited in the lobby as they looked for other nearby hotels for me. At 1:40am, after finding another hotel proved difficult, they told me, they actually did have another room available. As I had a flight early the following day, I had no choice but to stay in the room provided. Although I did not see any live bed bugs, I did see droppings and carcasses behind the mattress. The following morning, I spoke to the hotel supervisor. The supervisor said he will get an outside inspector to inspect the room for bed bugs before they can issue any sort of refund. The supervisor said he looked himself and did not see any bed bugs. I do not believe any outside inspection was done as you can see in other reviews, this is a reoccurring issue that has never been addressed. I never received a refund or follow up. Besides this, I saw mice running around in the hotel lobby. Please avoid at all costs! In part, I should have been more wary as the bed bench had several stains and what I thought was dirt/dust around the bedframe.Show More

However, there are a few areas for improvement: cleaning is only provided if requested the day before, which can be inconvenient. I also wished they allowed a later checkout. The check-in process and elevator lines were quite long, and it would have been nice to have milk or creamer available for coffee. Despite these small issues, it’s a pleasant and convenient place to stay.Show More
