Unfortunately not this time. While the staff was friendly, they forgot to advise us when we arrived that the hotel was no longer serving breakfast. When I reached out to book breakfast before checking out I was asked whether I had been advised it was not available. I had not been. The room had a foul odour which my friends noticed as soon as we walked in the room. It seemed to be coming from the floor drain in the bathroom. We had to keep the door closed at all times. We discovered just before bed that the thermostat was stuck at 23 degrees and we couldn’t turn it off so we were uncomfortable all night in a stuffy hot room. I booked for 3 adults in the room and we only had robes, towels ,soap etc for two. I was told as we were leaving that the hotel would be closing in a few weeks for renovations as they had been bought out by the Grey group but that they had already begun renovations on the upper floors. However we paid full price for a hotel that is operating at half capacity. I have stayed at several of the Grey group hotels and this is not up to their standards. I would not have booked a stay for a special occasion with my friends if I had known about the state of the hotel. Very disappointingShow More

Especially considering how much we paid for that room prior to coming there from the USA. I wasted so much food because this room didn’t have a microwave. And when I called the desk downstairs and asked, they said this room doesn’t come with a microwave but other rooms do???. I mean I had nice bathroom with shower in one side and a hot tub on the other. I even had an electric fireplace in that room but no microwave?. The breakfast was cold and we paid $20 or so each for it. Highly disappointing. Not a big fan of the feather pillows either and it was uncomfortable for the neck. The room however was pretty clean and I had no complaints there. The beds were also comfortable. Floors were also clean. I didn’t like the sliding doors from the bathroom that lead into the bedroom. I enjoyed the magnifying mirror that can better zoom in on your face in the bathroom. The elevators are annoying there. Say you push for the elevator to go down, it takes you up floors instead and brings you all the way to the 16th floor, and then you have to come down. And it felt like everyone was trying to get on, so you stopped on basically every floor. Another instance with the elevator is when 2 Staff were in the basement and the just kept holding the door open and wouldn’t let it go up. Overall there’s nothing to spectacular about this hotel. I truly believe I would’ve had a better experience with a motel that had a microwave. Show More

I paid the same amount for the second night, did you want me to checkout and then check back in? The breakfast was 23.00 per person so just be aware of the extra fee. I was able to easily walk to many of the places visitors go. If I am ever in Montreal for another trip, I would easily choose to stay here again.Show More
