We selected the location close to the Cruise terminal. While arranging the transportation we were told we were in the wrong location and paid 120eruo for a taxi and told this was the only option. While arranging the transportation we were told we were in the wrong location and paid 120eruo for a taxi and told this was the only option. Once we arrived we were then redirected back to our original destination and that was an addition 68eruo to get back to the hotel area to make our way to the cruise terminal. The lack of knowledge that the hotel had regarding terminal location and the fact we were told this was the only method of transportation was very poor. We could have paid 18eruo for a taxi out front of the hotel for a 10min ride to the local terminal to board our cruise. The hotel was lovely BUT the service for travellers was extremely lacking. it’s a hotel and they should know where the cruise terminal is and not redirect people in error. Show More

Consi...The hotel was very nice but … when we checked in we were told that we needed to contact the concierge if we had issues with the air conditioning because we didn’t have control of it in the room. Considering there has been a serious heat wave, we figured there might be a need to conserve energy. But when we got to the room, it was stifling hot, despite the thermometer saying it was 18 Celsius. We called the concierge and he said he would make it cooler. It became slightly cooler. The next day, same thing. It was much cooler in the hallway and we told that to the concierge. Again, he said it looked fine on his end but would make it cooler. Again, it changed slightly. The third day, it was even more hot. We spoke to a different concierge who said they might be able to get a technician to look at it. When we checked in later that day, no one had looked at it yet. Finally, we went back to the concierge, and luckily this time spoke with Romane, who took us seriously and transferred us to a new room. It was a night and day difference and finally we were able to rest and sleep comfortably. I searched reviews about air conditioning and found a couple who mention that the a/c needed to be reset. I would highly recommend that someone check the rooms prior to new arrivals, especially in a heat wave. I would also highly recommend you empower the room cleaners to notice if a room is demonstrably warmer than all the others. I hope no one else is given room 225 until the a/c is fixed. Show More

End of May e...Perfect visit to Venice I hesitated to write the review because I want to come back and find the hotel available and the board walk as spacious. However, I can’t keep a gem to myself. End of May early June 25 th anniversary. Brought our two kids along. 19/16 girl boy - adult size. Book and communicated seamlessly with hotel months before. Train to Venice and from the station a porter (20 euro) took out bags and walked us 5 m to water taxi (90 euro) to our hotel for our stay in Venice. The hotel Palazzo Venezanio is situated on a very wide and less crowded and beautiful boardwalk. This boardwalk is the home of private docks for yachts 3-14 dys including Tatasu estimated at 15-50 million (no one knows bc no one has seen inside). From the hotel you walk 15-30 m to the main canals, tourist shops, high end shops passing 5 beautiful churches. The hotel gives perfect directions. The hotel has black and gold interior. The lobby is comfortable like a library with a small bar and designer fragrances to sample. The staff speak exceptional English and are extremely helpful and give the stay high end attention. Our two rooms include a beautiful room with two twins and high end shower with Vegas style LED lights. The suite we had was a large comfortable bed with a sunken level with high end jacuzzi. We came for a week Venice lagoon cruise with Uniworld and the property was a short walking distance to the San Basilio cruise terminal. We absolutely loved the communication from the hotel to us leading up to the trip to advise us on experiences they can coordinate like cooking classes or day trips to nearby islands and even scheduling personalized transfers from the airport to the hotel. The front staff was great to communicate with over email and were quick and responsive. It was great after a very, very long travel day with the family to be greeted by a friendly face who escorted us to a private water taxi waiting just for us by passing lines. Worth every penny. The front staff was lovely, rooms were great, the breakfast was vast and varied, and the hotel is located in a lovely and quiet district of Venice. Thank you for the hospitality!
