However, in my opinion its reservation descriptions are mis...The resort is lovely, the food is delicious, the location is exceptional, and the in-dining, restaurant, and housekeeping staff are amazing. However, in my opinion its reservation descriptions are misleading and potentially fraudulent. I booked an expensive, deluxe, oceanfront room for several days to recuperate from a heart-related medical incident. The room views posted on the website for this option were gorgeous. However, upon checking into my room (Room 528) I was shocked to find that my view was primarily of a noisy driveway, back of the adjoining building, and garbage bins. If I looked in another direction, I could see partial ocean views through heavy palm fronds and over rooftops that were right outside my window. Had I known that, I would have stayed home where I had a better view. Management said it could not move me into a room with a better view unless I was willing to pay more. They didn't have another room at the same price for the 3 nights I was there. They subtracted $100 from my bill as an inconvenience acknowledgment or something like that, which meant little to me considering the overall cost of my stay was considerable. $100 did not even cover valet parking for 3 nights. This hotel does not meet the standards of iPrefer hotels in my opinion, and it is certainly bound to disappoint many seasoned travelers such as myself by its allegedly deceptive room descriptions and unwillingness to give guests what they paid for. It is extremely expensive, and not worth the risk in my opinion. The A/C stopped working in my friend's room while we were there, the elevators were slow because workers and staff were using them during peak guest hours, and they were doing internet and construction on site that had not been disclosed. While I was there, a worker entered my room to work on internet for about 30 minutes and mentioned he had about 300 rooms to go. Wow. Again, the staff was excellent. It was the management that is the problem.Show More
