La struttura conserva tutto il fascino storico dell’edificio originale: chiostri, ambienti suggestivi e un’atmosfera di quiete che avvolge ogni spazio. La camera era impeccabile: pulita, confortevole e perfettamente armonizzata con lo stile dell’antico convento. Ma ciò che l’ha resa memorabile è stata la splendida vista sul Vesuvio e sul Golfo di Napoli, uno spettacolo straordinario che accompagnava sia il risveglio che i momenti di relax. Lo staff è stato estremamente gentile e disponibile, sempre attento e pronto ad aiutare con cordialità. La colazione, servita in una sala che conserva il fascino del passato, era ricca, varia e di ottima qualità. Un hotel che unisce storia, accoglienza e panorami mozzafiato. The setting is incredible, high above the bay of Naples. The ambiance is unique and quiet. The history of the building is well preserved and displayed. Rooms are spacious but very worn. The outsid...The setting is incredible, high above the bay of Naples. The ambiance is unique and quiet. The history of the building is well preserved and displayed. Rooms are spacious but very worn. The outside common terraces which are huge and on every level are superb and luckily the weather accommodated full use for us. I reserved this hotel knowing it was away from the gritty port and its busyness. I wasnt disappointed. However for the price the hotel is showing its age and weariness. Sagging couch and tiny arm chairs in an expansive tiled living area and well worn bed of minimal size in the sleeping alcove were the furnishings in the ocean view suite. The tiny two windows with their shutters and external bric a brac only afforded a view when standing at them…not worth the extra cost. The plastered walls were stained in several spots in the bathroom ( dont want to know) and the fake mural on the living room wall was peeling wallpaper! Reception was helpful and welcoming. Daily room cleaning was thorough and with a smile. Where this hotel falls far short is in their restaurant and bar service. Fawlty Towers Italian style. Breakfast buffet was often without any milk for coffee, the coffee self serve handle was so hot I had to use a finger nail to pull the lever so as not to burn my hand, cups and glasses and plates were often missing, tables were not set up as people left and a simple solution of providing cutlery on the buffet was only used for cereal spoons. One morning well before closing there was no bread. All this was accompanied by surly waiters. Evening bar service on the fabulous terrace was hit and miss. It seemed that the wait staff was in hiding until fetched by brave customers. A couple of what looked like senior staff tried to make up for the lack of attention but it really was two star service. Food and drinks were decent when we got them.Show More

However, our check-in process was disappointing. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and even though we were told check-in was at 2 PM, many members of our group had to wait to check in, with one member of our group unable to access her room until nearly 5 PM. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was enjoyable, with good food and attentive service, but the pre-fixe menu wasn’t quite worth the $70 per person price tag. Overall, a beautiful place to stay if you’re patient and flexible, but there’s room for improvement in organization and value for money.Show More
