Check in stated 14:00 however when we arrived at 11:00 room was...The staff are very friendly always acknowledge you as you come in and out of the hotel, the check in and check out process was seamless. Check in stated 14:00 however when we arrived at 11:00 room was ready so went straight up. The size of the room was spacious, a lot of walking room and the bathroom not small either, only had a shower (no bath) but facilities up to standard. Each side of the bed had plug sockets, surprised not all hotels have this! Tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge available. Liked the location of the hotel as was near where we needed to be, however to go into Bologna city is about a 30/35 minute walk, public transport accessible if unable to walk for long periods of time or hire a bike seem to be everywhere in and around the city. Bed comfortable and a proper queen sized bed as sometimes find in hotels they just push two singles together. Appreciated the safety of having to swipe your room key card in the lift when looking to go up the floor so not everyone can just come in and start walking around.Show More

During the time I spent at the hotel, the Reception was always manned and...I can totally recommend the Savhotel Fiera. I felt at home from the moment I arrived and received a warm welcome at Reception. During the time I spent at the hotel, the Reception was always manned and I was greeted every time I passed by. In fact, all the staff in the hotel were polite, friendly and helpful. The whole hotel seems to have been recently renovated in a very successful way. There is a nice lounge in the lobby and a roof terrace with views over Bologna, sunbeds and a jacuzzi which unfortunately, I didn't have time to use. Like the rest of the hotel, my room was modern, comfortable and immaculately CLEAN with a very good bed. It had everything a guest could need. In the airy dining-room there was an excellent breakfast buffet with all that you would expect in a four star hotel. There was plenty of choice: hot dishes, cold meats, cheeses, salad vegetables, fruit salad, fresh fruit, different breads and cereals, pastries etc. I also noticed there was a good selection of gluten-free items. The staff made sure dishes were constantly refilled and that used plates and cutlery were cleared away promptly when guests had finished. On my last night, I had an excellent dinner in the hotel, with great service. I almost regretted not having had dinner there before! The hotel is in a quiet area, a short and cheap bus journey to the old centre. The bus stop is two minutes walk away. It is also possible to walk into the centre. The Savhotel Fiera is a perfect place to stay for a visit to see the sights of beautiful Bologna.Show More

The bus route into the city is nearby and the staff explained where and how to use the bus. I was able to park my car (extra expense) in a secure location and for more time the next day.
