It is the people and personal touches that make the difference. There are multiple resorts to choose from when staying in Wailea, and I have stayed at nearly all of them. But over the years I keep returning to this wonderful resort. As you can imagine, the location is tremendous, the grounds are impeccably landscaped and clean, and the rooms, pools and hotel itself are top of the line. And while all of that is important, in my years of traveling to wonderful resorts, I have always found it to be the people that make the difference. And the staff and management at this resort are some of the kindest and most professional I have found.
From valet attendants, to front desk personnel, restaurant and bar teams to the housekeeping folks, they all go out of their way to provide exceptional customer service. But there are two folks in particular that I would like to mention, Ms. Angela Vento and Ms. Kay Farr.
As I mentioned above, the team working at this resort is fantastic. But Ms. Vento and Ms. Farr provide what I would refer to as "top shelf" customer service. My experience with both of them has been exceptional. Ms. Vento and Ms. Farr make you feel as though you are the only hotel guest at the resort. They want to do what they can to make your visit to the island and the resort as memorable as possible. They take the time to understand what you are looking for and do whatever they can to help. Simply put...they get it. They are professional, respectful, trustworthy and just a pleasure to deal with.
As someone who stays in hotels 100+ nights per year, trust me when I tell you, you and your family will love the Wailea Beach Resort.

2/10 OUTRAGEOUS: FRAUDULENT CHARGES AND NO RESPONSE - BEWARE OF THIS RESORT!
I stayed in room 7325 at the Wailea Beach Resort Marriott Maui from February 22-28, 2025 as a company reward. My experience was completely ruined by unacceptable administrative management and what I can only define as fraudulent behavior.
Already at checkout, just hours before our flight, we found ourselves having to dispute several charges for services we never used! After obtaining the removal of these improper charges, we received a zero balance invoice and paid what was due. But the real scandal began afterward: in the days following our departure, we discovered with indignation additional duplicate charges on our credit card, without any authorization!
What infuriates me is that despite countless attempts to contact the hotel and Marriott customer service over the past 5 days, we have been totally ignored! No response, no explanation, no respect for customers!
We were forced to file a dispute with our bank. It's shameful that a brand like Marriott allows this predatory behavior toward their customers.
Warning to travelers: stay away from this resort or you risk finding unauthorized charges and being completely abandoned if you seek assistance!
I have never received such contemptible treatment from a luxury hotel. Unworthy of the Marriott brand and unacceptable at any level of service!

6/10 This property is not for old people.
The welcome given guests is wonderful. The location is perfect. We got the garden Lanai room. It was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately things went down from there. The property is not handicapped friendly. Being old we found it very difficult to get around with all of the steps at the property. Elevators were hard to find. The BIG disappointment was that when we went to use the "private" outdoor shower and tub we realized everyone on the floors above could see us. The reason for this is the curtains surrounding the outdoor tub area were too short by at least an inch. The two curtain sides do not meet in the middle. You could see right into the tub. I so wanted to try bathing in a garden. But I was not going to expose the children in the room upstairs to seeing a naked old lady. The one thing I had looked forward to was ruined. Using the indoor shower was almost as bad. When turned on it sprayed out onto the bathroom floor, leaving it very slippery. I mentioned I am old. I was so afraid of falling on the slippery tile I didn't want to use that shower either. This property is not worth the money.

10/10 property excels where most fallshort
We had an absolutely fantastic vacation here. As a frequent traveler there are a couple of things that I want to mention that are more rare than most people would believe.
1. Tropical island resorts/hotels universally suffer from the effects of sun and salt within months of construction. I did not see any of the ubiquitous corrosion and mold that are present at even the most expensive properties. Marriott management obviously has committed a substantial budget to maintenance, far beyond what most companies would be willing to spend.
2. Employee attitude. Every single employee that we interacted with was 100% polite, pleasant, engaging and helpful. Every single one. I can not tell you how blown away I was by how positive the staff was at every engagement. The employees here are the secret sauce for sure !
Special shout out to Ashey waiting on guests poolside, fabulous service, always happy to answer questions about the property as well as the island. Rockstar !!

10/10 A Family Tradition
Our family visits Maui every December and we have stayed at many properties in the Wailea area. The Marriott Beach Resort is our first choice. The location is outstanding. The Wailea Mall is steps away for your groceries as well as restaurants and of course the evening walk for ice cream! The Starbucks on site is a very convenient feature unique to any of the other properties. The rooms are excellent and the vast property with its many pools has something for everyone. Travelling as a family, the kid pool is unquestionably the best in Wailea. If you need a reprieve from that the adult pool is excellent. We look forward to a future stay and special thanks to Kama at the front desk who made our stay that much more special and comfortable. People like that is what makes us come back. Thank you.

9/10 Best family friendly resort I have ever experienced!
Amazing hotel perfect for families with young kids. The resort has anything that any kid could ever dream of! Adventure pool with water slides for any age, arcade with free games, movie nights for kids, many traditional activities, sandy beach with included sun-beds, food trucks and a lot of space! Staff were very nice, efficient and welcoming and made us feel at home the entire time. I would 100% go back!

The property was very large and has plenty to do onsite. This was great for my parents who love to walk around. The beachfront view was beautiful and the boardwalk and beach itself were also very beautiful.

The location and property simply amazing. Boardwalk and access to other hotels and shops! In the heart of Wailea! Stunning sunsets and beaches! The ocean front room views are also stunning. Food is exceptional as well. Staff at the breakfast kitchen place are also great especially Anthony and Paul! Service there is much better than at the rest of the hotel. Lady at the front desk called Judy was extremely nice to us- she’s really kind. Also Jhon at the adult pool bar was great!

the property is beautiful, children's pool area is a bit of a walk from where the parents pool area is, so I could see some kids getting lost. only real negative was all the stairs. the resort is multi level and many different levels. so that was a bit of a bummer. stairs for everything. plus was starbucks on site. abc style store on site and wailea shops and dining within walking distance

best 4 day resort experience ever. We loved this place and everything about it. Impeccable grounds, staff, pools, location, food choices and food, drink choices and drink. would highly highly recommend. Seems a bit pricey at first, but, in the end, worth every dime and more. A solid 10.

we had only booked one room (2 queen beds) but we have a family of six and they kindly accommodated us by adding a room with a king bed attached to the room with the 2 queen beds for a discounted price, right by the kids' pool and with a stunning ocean view.

The breakfast was a disappointment. We were there in April 2023, and the breakfast was much better. Missing items and empty items on the bar.

Room: If you really wanted to be picky there was a few worn down things in the room, TV Counter was missing a small part of the side, which was visible, when entering. Balcony also has bare wood showing at then end under some glass that you also saw with a critical eye, but if that kind of thing bugs you, then you'd notice. The rest about the room was great. Had a new smart TV as well, that was great for a family movie night.
Pool: The pools where nice and didn't seems chloride filled like a lot of other places, we've tried, which was really nice. There are an 18+ pool with great views and good service, but it could be a bit hard to get a spot there.
The 2 pools that are open to everyone are nice, but definitely doesn't feel as luxurious. They are still really nice though.
The place did however have a lot of "reserved" seatting, which had to be payed for. Specific seats, couches and the 21+ serenity pool all had to be reserved and payed for. Some reservations costing up to 800usd a day.
If you really want some high end luxurious options and don't mind spending the money for it these seatting are great, but we didn't feel the need to use them and still enjoyed it a lot.
View: Views were 10/10. Saw whales jumping in the ocean every single day.

I liked the pool, view, and activities nearby the hotel. The service was outstanding and the food was amazing. I will definitely be coming back for another stay soon. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking to plan for a vacation soon.

Staff were super friendly and the rooms were cleaned very well on a daily basis. Rooms were nice but a bit noisy (even after we changed to a quieter side of the hotel). The location is great, both beaches very accessible and lots to see and do in the area.

The rooms were nice, my family of 4 didn't feel squeezed. The pools were great, my teen boys especially enjoyed the adventure pool; those slides are fun! The grounds were very nice, overlooking the ocean. I liked the use of green space, as opposed to neighboring resorts that seem more densely packed. And despite being a guy that likes to research and book things myself, I found the concierge was very helpful.
