Got to room, exhausted after 36 hours of train travel. Room was spacious but somewhat dirty - carpet was dusty around edges, air filter was filthy, and my husband stepped on a baby tooth while using the restroom, barefoot! Gross. We were so tired we just went to sleep. The bed was SO COMFORTABLE! Took the tooth down to reception after waking up and let them know how dirty the room was. They moved us to another room and gave us $50 credit. However, the ice machine on our floor and the floor below were both broken so any time we needed ice, we had to take the elevator down two floors. Kind of a pain. During my shower, the head fell off in my hand and had to be screwed back on. Finally, their "Hi-Speed Internet" is a joke. We could not connect to their network because of the horrible connection speed and ended up paying $10 per day to our own provider in order to connect (we both work remotely). However, the location of the hotel was almost worth the problems we had. The view was the best I've ever had. We are museum buffs and were very happy that so many of the maritime museums were within walking distance. Also, there are so many restaurants and shops close by that we took only one Uber during our 4-day stay. If you don't have exacting standards, I would recommend this hotel but check that they have actually cleaned your room before you unpack.Show More

I didn't even mind waiting an unrea...Aside from the ignorance, poor attitude, poor communication skills or just unwillingness to help from the first woman I spoke with upon arriving, my stay was great. I didn't even mind waiting an unreasonable time at the airport once I found out that someone had called in sick. The driver was harried and over worked but remained pleasant. The woman at the front desk was overwhelmed with the several sets of flight attendants who were checking in or out. She told me that the credit card used to confirm my room was expired, and left me standing there trying to call my host after business hours. Eventually, another employee came to the desk and offered to help me. She discovered that though the room had been paid for in advance, the card covering incidentals had expired and you just needed a credit card on file! Maybe I didn't look like I owned a credit card? The first woman was very dismissive and condescending. Otherwise it's a lovely hotel, quiet, great location, excellent bar and restaurant -Excellent food, comfortable room. I did have to have a nice man come up twice because the TV remote needed new batteries. Oh, and trying to CALL the front desk is a waste of time because they don't answer the phone. Bong, the driver who took me back to the airport was great.Show More

After contacting rese...In April, 2024, our US Navy helicopter squadron held a reunion in San Diego, Ca. Due to the success we had there, some of us decided to repeat the experience this December, 2025. After contacting reservations sales agent Ryan Ochs, he and his staff were excited to have us return. He assisted us with all our needs thus making this easy and affordable for the members. Providing rooms with beautiful views of the harbor, and USS Midway, which many of us flew from during the Vietnam war, added many memories for our veterans. With the many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, in addition to Claim Jumper restaurant in the hotel, made it easier for our older members. The many attractions in the area was an added plus. Transportation to and from the airport by the hotel is an added benefit. The cleanliness of the property and rooms, the professionalism of Mr. Ochs and the hotel staff, are to be commended. We are looking forward to this upcoming reunion and thank everyone who have made this possible.Show More

The shower door was also quite difficult to open and close, and the faucet was loose and wobbly. Additionally, we noticed a red spot on the bedsheet, which was concerning. The hand soap dispenser in the bathroom was nearly empty and ran out after one day. We also felt uncomfortable being approached by a very persistent timeshare sales representative in the lobby. Another issue was that guests two floors below were smoking weed, and the smell traveled up to our room. Finally, we were surprised by the $25 per night “destination fee,” which was not mentioned at the time of booking. Overall, we hope management addresses these issues to improve the experience for future guests.Show More
