This was my experience and you can decide for yourself, but I would not rate it as a 5 star hotel and it is not worth the huge price paid for a 7 night stay. Made the mistake of booking through booki...This was my experience and you can decide for yourself, but I would not rate it as a 5 star hotel and it is not worth the huge price paid for a 7 night stay. Made the mistake of booking through booking.com and was charged in Euros so incurred bank charges. They emailed me and asked for pillow and mini bar drinks choices - these were not actioned when we checked in and despite pointing this out were not auctioned during our stay. Booked a ‘side view of the sea’ room and it was not worth the huge price jump because the room was still small with nowhere comfortable to sit apart from on the bed. The loo and shower were practically in the room only separated by a glass door therefore giving no privacy. The shower floor was cleaned with bleach so it stank. The duvet did not fit the duvet cover. There was a night light that kept me awake at night. In the hotel itself there was nowhere to sit and relax inside, the internal veranda was dark and dinghy. Reception staff recommendations for dinner were rubbish - all restaurants recommended to us had low review scores. The rooftop pool was not heated, it was freezing cold. The staff on the rooftop did not monitor people leaving their towel on sunbeds then leaving for a few hours. Breakfast staff cleared your plate and then talked to each other about it - re: Flora and Placido. Eggs cooked to order were watery, well, the fried and scrambled ones were unless you asked for them to be well done in which case they were practically burned. Could not give me water hot enough for tea in 7 days and served a one size cups worth in a cast iron kettle unfit for purpose. The whole breakfast experience was chaotic with staff walking back and forth constantly due to refilling people’s drinks. At the end of the stay I got a letter from the manager on check out asking me to recommend changes yet they made no effort to improve anything while I stayed and I had told them before I left the UK that this was a special trip for me. They tried to charge me the city tax again when I checked out but I reminded them I had paid it through booking.com.Show More

This has to be our best visit yet and we’ve stayed quite a few times since it opened in 2018. The standard of service here is second to none and you are genuinely made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive. One of the highlights of the hotel is its fabulous rooftop terrace with pool and restaurant where we spent much of our time. The quality of the food and drinks served by the pool is excellent and for the full daytime menu you can step into the restaurant area whilst still enjoying the outstanding views across the Bay of Palma. The staff are always attentive and engaging and it’s always a pleasure to chat with them to gain a few valuable insights into the local wines and culture. The team at Es Princep are always trying to improve the customer experience and with the introduction of morning yoga classes on the rooftop they’ve really added something exceptional. We took part every morning during our stay and it was just the best way to start the day. Complimentary drinks and fresh fruit were served after the class which set us up for a welcome dip in the pool followed by the excellent breakfast in the terrace restaurant. Thanks to Tina for her patience guidance and for helping to straighten out my back 😂 The rooftop terrace is pretty unique due to its size and location and it’s a very sociable place where we have made many new and interesting acquaintances. Staff are courteous, knowledgeable and friendly, and this is true throughout the hotel - reception, breakfast, rooftop etc. We paid for breakfast on one of the days and it was superb. A mix of buffet and a la carte, with freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee brought to you as standard. Very nice pastries, a huge selection of breads, meats, cheeses, salmon - you certainly won’t go hungry. For the price of around €30pp, it is good value. The room was comfortable, if a little small. I was a bit disappointed for the price that there was no bath, but otherwise no complaints about the room. Housekeeping is incredibly efficient and we really appreciated the turn down service. My only criticism is about the quality of food on the rooftop, which wasn’t as good as breakfast - the Caesar salad was salty and small, with a small amount of chicken. The fries were a bit too oily and unlike breakfast, the price did not represent good value. As mentioned, though, staff up on the rooftop were fantastic and attentive. Location is great, a stones throw from the sea and a pleasant walk into the town via the beautiful cathedral. In all, Es Princep was a lovely hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook.Show More

No rush, but very efficient. ...After a long overseas flight, we arrived at Es Princes to a warm welcome and a refreshing cold drink. We were in invited to enjoy a coffee or beer while we checked in. No rush, but very efficient. Our room was ready and overlooked Palma Harbor. Comfortable bed, excellent bathroom, a friendly note and snack awaited us. When the rest of the family joined us with a baby and toddler in tow, we had dinner on the lovely rooftop restaurant. The kind waitstaff fussed over the little girls and patiently allowed us to linger over a fine meal. The next morning, at their expansive breakfast buffet, we were treated to Mallorcan specialties. The little ones were greeted as guests and made comfortable. The front desk was always ready to help, offer tips on what to do, and greeted us as friends during all our comings and goings. At the end of our stay, they carefully loaded our many pieces of luggage into our van without complaint, and sent us off with bottled water and happy waves. It felt like family!Show More
