When I checked in online, I selected a room, and requested a 3 pm check-in time and a digikey. By 4, the digikey status still showed the room being prepared so I called and spoke to Angelica. She let me know that my selected room was still being prepared but that she could move me to a room that was ready. She kindly did that efficiently; however, upon second thought, I knew we had a few places to stop by before checking in so I sent in a message through the app that if my originally-selected room would be ready around 5, then I would prefer the original room. To our surprise when we checked in, we got the original room. So thank you Angelica and whoever read our message!
Before arriving, I realized that I had forgotten the physical key card for my Tesla. We called the Tesla store in Indianapolis but the message said the office was closed. We searched the internet to see if we had a way to still park through valet and there seemed to be a way. There were two lines of cars outside of the hotel waiting to be parked, so I turned on the blinkers and waited. Timothy showed up and I explained my situation. He was so kind and patient, and guided me to temporarily parking outside, and was so confident about what needed to be done for him to still be able to park my car. He took the car directly to the parking lot so that we didn’t need to worry about having me turning it on and off remotely. When he saw us walking to the game, he told us where he parked the car and let us know he would be around in the morning. We thought there was no way since it was already evening. But sure enough, I received a call from him asking if we were ready for the car and he walked me through what needed to be done for him to be able to grab my car. Timothy deserves all the tips and all the kudos from the hotel.
Damien checked us in, thanked me for my HH status, and offered us water. I was grateful for that as I had forgotten to pack water, too. I called down to request extra sheets, blanket, and soap, and Damien said he’d send them up, but since we needed to get to the game, we removed the DND sign so housekeeping could just leave them in the room. While at the game, we received a text from Damien letting us know to text if we needed anything. I let him know we left the room, but hoped housekeeping was able to get in the room to leave the e requested items. He let me know that if they didn’t, he would personally deliver them. Once we got back from the game and saw that the sheets and blankets were there, but not the soaps, so I went down to the lobby to let Damien know. It’s not a big deal, but he was so apologetic and offered more waters and snacks. His gesture was not at all necessary, but appreciated. I also asked if I could swap out my payment card that I checked in with, he said yes and got his manager to verify it was done correctly. I didn’t catch the manager’s name, but he was very professional and friendly as well. Damien also deserves kudos!
Breakfast was good, Kay made sure the area was kept clean and stocked well. I didn’t catch the other lady’s name who was also working in the area, but they both worked so effectively to keep the food stocked and the areas clean!
This hotel seemed to have been recently renovated so it looks and feels fresh. The walls are thin but that’s outside of the control of the employees. The location is great, the staff even better. I would highly recommend this hotel to others.Show More
