When your reservation is already paid for and confirmed it becomes very disappointing and stressful at check in to have the manager charge you again more than twice what you already paid for on a two-...When your reservation is already paid for and confirmed it becomes very disappointing and stressful at check in to have the manager charge you again more than twice what you already paid for on a two-night stay. I seriously cannot believe that woman, Kim, is the manager of this property. It is already in your system that the reservation is paid for, but you insist on charging me again as though I am lying to you. Does she do this to all customers or just the ones who look like me to "cover" herself? How incompetent and unprofessional. I really wanted to stay again at this hotel on my next visit to the city but if I am going to be seriously overcharged again on an already paid for room then I will look elsewhere. Other than this headache that I am in the process of getting sorted by Booking.com and Chase Bank the stay was fine. The room was nice and clean, comfortable bed, great location for easy access to major attractions, restaurants, public transport and a relaxing lobby. It would be nice if housekeeping were allowed to leave sugar or sweeteners with the coffee/tea on offer. It's kind of odd not to. There is also a 7-11 around the corner behind the hotel for things like snacks and drinks. Overall as I said before, I would stay again but this situation has left me saying no for the moment without recommending.Show More

The room was unfortunately directly across from the elevators. We were tired and decided not to complain. My wife was disappointed to find no hair dryer anywhere in the room. Our car was left on the valet ramp for hours where it was damaged (shattered windshield, dented roof) by someone throwing an object off a roof near the ramp. We thought it fair for the valet service to comp our parking due to the damage on their watch. They refused. When we requested a late checkout to deal with the damage repair we were told we would be charged for that as well. There are small "historic preservation fees" on our bill which are not explained ahead of time. This is a beautiful hotel very poorly organized. Horrible treatment for returning customers. Never again.Show More
