Unfortunately, this property really missed the mark.
The staff were the best part of my stay. The valet team and housekeeping were genuinely kind, professional, and attentive — truly a standout group. I can’t say enough about their friendliness and service.
That said, the guest rooms need major improvement. There are almost no accessible outlets — just one in the lamp and another in the radio box. The lighting is dim and yellow, giving the room a dated feel, and the curtains don’t fully close for blackout. The bathroom is extremely small, and for the room cost, amenities like robes or slippers would be a nice touch (as many other Hyatt properties provide). There’s also no glass carafe for water refills or filtered water near the ice machine, which makes it inconvenient for guests who prefer reusable bottles.
The lobby feels neglected — furniture fabric is worn and stained, wallpaper is peeling in multiple areas, and the overall look feels cheap rather than contemporary. The loud lobby music doesn’t help the atmosphere either. It feels like a space that was quickly refreshed rather than thoughtfully renovated.
The Roost restaurant was another disappointment. While the breakfast and staff were pleasant, the overall menu and dining experience didn’t feel up to Hyatt standards. On the upside, the coffee shop is excellent — great drinks and friendly service.
Overall, this property doesn’t reflect the level of design quality or guest experience expected from the Hyatt Regency brand. It has kind people and potential, but it desperately needs an investment in proper design, lighting, and furnishings to match the caliber of its staff.Show More
